What I am really liking about Wiki Squared is the focus it gives me on Wikipedia I have bookmarked the same sets of articles multiple times in multiple ways on my computer with the intention of using them as a reference But Wikipedia is so vast and the links take me far afield and soon I m lost with 30 tabs open and I never really get to my research Bookmarks are difficult and static With Wiki Squared I have an organized subset of Wikipedia on my iPad The keywords allow me to group and access the pages easily I especially like that the pages are automatically brought locally resident It all works seamlessly Access Wikipedia like normal and every page you access is brought local to the device Keywords are a great way to organize them As you view each article you can easily assign any or all of your existing keywords or create new keywords as the need arises As you choose a keyword from the list it moves to the assigned stack and disappears from the potential stack Very clear Tap tap tap and you are organized The article titles are shown in an index One can view the index in alphabetical order or in chronological order From the index one can use keywords to narrow and focus the search As one crawls through Wikipedia and the articles are brought local you can use the page forward and page back icons to quickly navigate through your pages No more long line of open tabs Since the articles are local they are never lost and you can easily navigate to them again Articles that are of fleeting or no interest can be easily pruned off the top of the chronological history For me the Keep track of where I go and save it all and I ll clean it up later works better than Do I want to remember this article or not and do I need to take an action before I lose it The latter is how I ve always had to use Wikipedia before Wiki Squared and it always left me with a lost hopeless feeling as I wandered the vastness of Wikipedia I have long lists of dusty bookmarks on my computer that I may or may not be interested in viewing again With Wiki Squared the articles that remain after I do a little pruning are the ones I value and they are easy to organize find and view The developer is active and responsive I have had the opportunity to exchange emails with the developer and I get the sense that this is a vibrant and growing application with a great future Wiki Squared has revolutionized the way I use Wikipedia and I highly recommend it Randy                     Wikipedia under control at last ranjoh
The worst app I have No comparison between this and the real Wikipedia Waste of time and money Three searches of different topics brought up virtually nothing What a disappointment     Terrible Wstprtr
For this to be considered a valid and useful app the index really needs to be fixed     Really Needs an Update GigaPan

Crashes constantly Applied the update but still crashes         Used to work nogogo20
I use Wikipedia almost daily to expand my knowledge of non professional information I thought Wikki2 was the perfect delivery app until I discovered a major flaw in the recent update the inability to close web links from entry references or external sources After complaining twice in separate emails I was about to give up on the apps when the creator emailed me first with a proposed solution didn t work followed by an apology and acknowledgment that it was a major snafu due to iOS5 that he would work hard and quickly to correct That has been accomplished with the update and fix Bravo It has now earned a five star rating and a BIG thanks to the designer for coming through with a fix so quickly Kudos                     Worth the latest fix ErnieY2011

There is not much surprise it looks like you get exactly the same Wikipedia you can get online with the same pictures and everything it s not perfect like you can t enlarge the writing but you know for one dollar you get an entire encyclopedia which you can look at whenever you don t have the Internet connection and I say this is good value for the money                     What you get on line Pepit1959
This is a great app Wonderful for reading when there is no internet available airports car trips mass transit Like everything else it is a work in progress I would gladly pay significantly more than 0 99 for a little added functionality It is also still a little buggy crashed twice in about 1 hour of use I would like to store pages in related groups It would be really nice to store pages in folders much like the iOS Mail application allows you to move mail to folders yes I realize that this might require a companion application on an OS 10 machine to create the folders It would be nice to have a button that would allow me to email to a friend and the email would go out when an internet connection was made It would also be nice if touch gestures were supported eg resize text with a pinch But overall if you like Wikipedia you will love this app                 Great App still needs work Guam iPhone
