On my iPhone 6 in June 2017 this app works superbly All of the chart calibration and procurement problems have been handled for you you just select which maps to download As it says in the usage tips you just have to double tap the screen to get the airplane icon centered on your location You need a good WiFi to download sectional charts even after downloading map data to the cache but this data remains on the iPhone so you can fly out of cell phone coverage area no problem The chart data seems to survive a reboot I have flight tested this in my glider at Minden The idea is to have a backup should my LX9000 fail so as to get me home The user interface is extremely simple just what is needed when you are stressed by flight problems                     The New Version Is Superb Brock2011

I bought this app as we were headed out on a flight expecting it to connect to my external GPS receiver But no it only works on the standard cellular network I wasted my 4 99 Maybe you won t     Worthless for real flights requires cellular network for location info JimInArizona

I have had this app for a few months It continually crashes all the time when using It literally takes days to download the sectional charts because they stop downloading the second you get out of the app even if it is running in the background Very frustrating and have not seen any good updates Spend a little more money and get an app that is reliable         Don t waste your money Narf44

I ve been using this app for 2 months now and it works great You can plan your flights download maps for offline usage and plus no subscription fee is needed As a bonus you can even export your flights to Google Earth and see the profile in 3D Really cool app totally worth the cost I plan to check it out on iPad as soon as I can get my hands on one                     Really helpful and reliable worth every penny CarrionCrow79

This app looks similar to Skycharts on Vfr mode but features selectable waypoints for route planning However the app would not display your route details Looking forward for more features such as dtk te etc Not sure why the flight plan route is in red would prefer magenta                 Good app scope for improvement Ksp_530

I experimented with this while riding along during a 2 hour flight this weekend The good It was handy to have the charts and be able to pull up the airport info with a touch The bad I found the the software locked up often on my iPhone 4 making it impossible to scroll or zoom let alone have the chart follow the plane with gps I restarted the app several times as well as the phone but found the behavior the same after a few minutes of use While allowing the chart to follow us it was often several minutes behind our actual position but did not give any indication that the location was out of date I feel like this software has great potential and I look forward to reviewing again after further refinement         Ok but needs some refinement fall-line
