Awesome Note (+To-do/Diary)

I am so done with this app its rubbish Seems like every other time there is some kind of upgrade it clicks off the backups Once again it did some kind of upgrade and now all my notes are lost without a freakin backup NEXT     SO DONE

Used this App for long long time and loved it Now it crashes every time I try to make a new folder I wrote to support got a pat response that we are working on it Poor dears that was 2 was ago still not working Meanwhile I am looking for another note app I would warn anyone away from downloading this one until they get this issue fixed or it will be useless to you App Store should take these Apps off the list if they dont work and creators refuse to fix issues in timely manner     Ugh Soooo Frustrated

I have used this app for years for grocery shopping packing lists for trips weekly chores etc Uncheck the items I need then check them off as I shop or pack With this update the unchecked and checked items are no longer separated Its just a big disorganized list THIS IS USELESS Now I have to find a new app I have DOZENS of lists Can I UNupdate When I look at a note it gets pinned to the opening screen If I take it down the whole note is deleted WHY OH WHY DID YOU SCREW UP THIS REALLY GOOD APP 82215 Im not sure why all the new 5 star reviews Another bug fix wiped out all the negative reviews again but I havent detected the improvements     What have you done

Honestly I LOVE Awesome Note and use it for quite a bit of stuff and helped me out through college But the reason why I give it a 3 stars now is because the WiFi Backup is no longer supported The backup files I have as anb files I can no longer restore from I dont normally backuprestore my device from a backup in iTunes as I like having a FreshRestore as new device I know about the Evernote Sync but I didnt use it before the update So now I have my backup notes and cant restore my anb backup           No more WiFi Backup or Restore

This was one of my favorite and most used apps No Google Drive sync Ouch        What happened

I agree with another reviewer This used to be my goto app With the latest update it is worthless When using my todo lists I can no longer view alphabetically with the completed tasks below the incomplete tasks For this reason alone I have no use for this app anymore Ive scoured the settings for a way to fix the jumbled up view of my todo lists with no success Im very disappointed I used to recommend this app but no longer     Worthless since the latest update

These pastel colors are really nastycreates a rather disgusting writing environment Please fix        Too much change is not always good

I cant find several folders that I once had and two of them are of significant importance such as records for my dogs shots and dates of birth current weight appt with vet My only grand childs baby records since his birth If you can help me find these 2 folders Ill rate it 5 stars           Connie

The latest version is better than last release I use aNote on my iPod 5 touch and it is my first purchased app Now I am experiencing a lot of problems with the latest one 1 First fix up the weather icon problem so we could use weather icon manually 2 Second whenever I open a new page I find the cursor a far below the beginning point where one start writing 3 The slide system to the left or right is very poor In 713 the slide system was very lovely 4 Please add the option like edit the writing body or caption first 4 Syncing with Evernote is super slow 5 Please use a long alarm tone like you used in the old version old phone ringing like that I hope I will see my old aNote very soon in the latest one I do like update but not as like as you do now a days Thanks for your great effort     100 Disappointed

I dont mind the new layout but seriously everything is all mixed up I just went through 30 mins figuring this new update thing and customized everything to my own liking saved and synced and now its jumbled all over again     Please fix

The previous versions were user friendly and great for making lists This new version is completely different and not at all user friendly I have tried off and on for a few months to make simple to do lists but it keeps making different kinds of lists without check boxes I cant figure it out Very frustrating Im going to look for something that is easier to use     New version is terrible

Used to be a really great app I used it to keep track of everything Now I cant use it at all Doesnt let me delete all the default crap Doesnt let me edit folders Just keeps crashing Super disappointing especially for something I paid for     Crap since the update

No rich text editing cant change font type color size bold italic underline unless its for the entire note which only gives you font type not even color No way to add lists bullet point or numbered They give you a bullet button Thanks for that but it wont indent properly Oh wait they have a tab button as well Of course not justified if you use it with bullet button So whats the point exactly No audio recording while taking notes and be able to hear recording back if you click anywhere on the note to hear what was recorded at that time Heres the strangest thing of all They keep updating the iPhone app but havent updated the iPad app since May of 2014 Newsflash developers a graphic intensive app will be used more heavily by iPad users Get it together Make things worse it keeps crashing deleted notes multiple times does not remember folder order or custom settingsthis app is a disaster Which is too bad because its the best looking notes app available anywhere If they fixed all of this and added the above features I dont think anyone would buy another notes app In the meantime they proudly come out with new features on iPhone apps which their competitors have had for over 3 years not exaggerating and competition is eating them alive Im sick of having to restore my notes from cloud or having my settings screwed up Im done until I see it match its competitors features listed above     Way Behind Most Other Notes Apps

This last upgrade has ruined everything You were always a bit quirky but now Im forced to go elsewhere All of my folder customizations are gone I cant switch from note to to do easily not interested in relearning all of your jumbled up hidden settings thankyouverymuch Now Ill have to type my lists over someplace else So disappointed     Worst upgrade

Was using Awesome Note on iPad prior to iOS 7 Really loved the old look and functionality but couldnt deal with lack iCloud sync support Switched to others and eventually Day One but none of these provided flexibility of multiple attachments photos great calendar integration note folders and project management ability in addition to journaling Now with Awesome Note 2 on iPhone 6 Plus with iCloud backups and promised iCloud Sync with future iPad update Im a customer and happy user again Sure bullet list support and pretty text formatting would be welcome but this is easy enough to do manually The big and difficult stuff that other apps ignore is all here                 Long time favorite

I couldnt be more disappointed with the latest revision of this app I used this app daily to update information and retrieve personal data Now it has become extremely cumbersome There is no way to change the alarm sound They got rid of the Quick Notes The Repeat function does not work The Anniversary Notes are completely useless now Hope they fix this soon        from FIRST to WORST

Ive used this app for YEARS for writing and in the new update some of what I type deletes itself with no way of getting it back So upset fix this please        Disappointing

Its a great app i use it on daily basis There was a feature in the old version that was removed in the new one why I have no idea It was going to the next ot previous note without having to go back to the note thumbnails Bring it back and youll get 5 stars otherwise you deserve 3           Swipe from not to note

Last update made iPhone and iPad versions out of sync you cant use them together anymore I regret I bought those apps in the past Now I have to look for something else and migrate all my data this is totally unprofessional Looks like developer switch focus to samsung devices     Dont buy anything from this developer

Why would you destroy the best app I had on my iPhone It has gone from from use it all the time to almost totally useless Its only redeeming value is that as far as I know it is the only reminder app that will integrate with IOS Reminders and the Google calendar Both of which can be updated with Siri I would pay big money to go back to the previous edition of aNote It is NOT that I dont understand the settings I have been using aNote for years and consider myself an above average technical person None of the three updates have made any significant changes There purpose seems to be to erase the overwhelming number of negative reviews the new version has received     Would give it zero if I could

This is a wonderful to do list and it even keeps track of reminders and calendar events its also pretty cool that you can customize the background icons and folders It even has a journal entry section This app allows you to set alarms for your objectives repeat events for however long you want to and allows you to place a passcode lock on folders if you want Although I have heard it has problems with syncing However my purposes dont really require syncingI do wish that the touch ID for the iPhone 5s could be used as a passcode lock but not having a touch ID doesnt take anything away from the app If youre looking for a todo list app this is for you I did like the previous version better It was more user friendly but the new update isnt too bad It just takes some getting used to I am a college student and this app is so useful for keeping track of my classes exams events homework etc It just helps keep my stress levels down                 Fantastic App

Please update iPad version so these two are compatible again Expands the iPhones basic notes by allowing the creation of folders to organize notes and ability to add an attachment Also iOS Reminders and iOS Calendar integrates with Awesome note I like the colors the new icons Dont want the Recent notes at the top I may not go to those again in the near future and it takes valuable space Give me more room for folders HIDE BUTTON ADDED The Calendar is awesome Perfect day planner monthly layout Now can we add Share to Facebook and Twitter I store birthday greetings in a folder could be slick              Keep going Getting there

I used to LOVE Awesome Note Basically my whole life is in this app and has been for years Im hoping they do another update and bring back some of the previous options so that its useful to me again Argh I understand losing some functions for the sake of simplicity but the stuff they took away makes no sense For instance and this is the part that irritates me most you can no longer manually sort in the ToDo view The ToDo view is where items with different folders show up when they are identified as this type of a note and it used to be a great way to look at what needed to be accomplished for the day Previously you could manually arrange this folders list by time due time created alphabetically or priority That gave you a lot of different ways to look at your days todos but now that function is gone though its still there for the other folders WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU THINK THATS AN IMPROVEMENT Who doesnt need to be able to sort through their long list of the days planned accomplishments That alone hugely impacted the usefulness of this app for me But they made it doubly annoying by adding a function that assigns a time to todo items based on when you created them so its due on whatever day you assign but if you dont specify a time like something needs to be done on that day but it doesnt matter when EVEN IF YOU SELECT ALL DAY when entering the note Awesome Note assigns the time of day you created the note to it and it will appear in the ToDo folder on the day you selected with a time associated This is how AN sorts each days todo items and theres no way to manually change the sorting anymore and no way to stop it from assigning a time Thanks for doubly taking away the usefulness of this app My third but not final rant is that previously the app allowed you to use multiple note types in each folder but now you have to select a note type that will be associated with it and stick to it Previously you could for instance have a folder for Upcoming Projects and you could create a few plain notes that had no bells or whistles and use that to describe the projects or list ideas etc then add todo notes to remind yourself of specific tasks you need to accomplish relating to the projects in this folder Now pick one type of note and stick with it because you cant within the folder mix and match your note types to suit you needs anymore Why would you offer people fewer ways to manage their ideas My last annoyance with the new version is that you can no longer group delete completed tasks with one click Again were they trying to be less useful and handy Ive written to Brid but gotten no response Im hoping they will update and bring some of these things back Id never found a better app for this purpose but now that theyve lowered the bar Im looking for alternatives A shame as Ive been a dedicated user for many years so you could decide if you wanted     Hate the update

To all myself included that were involved in the big update that screwed up the entire appjust a heads up it is now all fixed Back to normal You can do everything like you used to be able to do and they made it a little more user friendly and easier ways to do the old stuff We can all Go back to having our life organized again                 Back to normal now

I have loved Awesome Note since 2009 Unfortunately the version for iOS 7 ruined everything with the lack of skeuomorphism This version is decent but I liked the back arrow on top as it had always been also a Widget is a must for the ToDos tasks of the day as it is sometimes annoying to open the app to remember whats the badge for           Not as good as it once used to be

I bought this with the belief that it would be useful to sync with Evernote Not useful at all Just a cutesy To Do List Dont waste your money        Awesome Disappointment

App does stop often while creating drawing notes in diaries old version never had n still shows one page as 2 duplicated ones sometimes 3 n 821 update did not fix them up at least old version displays perfectly well after transferring diaries fr iPhone to ipod touch Best hand writing app but still same few bugs for years Pls help out           Never fix few bugs in great tool

I dont like the changes Im removing the app from this device My other device has an old version that Ill keep But honestly I stopped using Awesome Notes a few years ago It was my total favorite app at one point The Google sync problems where my notes and folders would double drove me crazy multiple times But it was the lack of subfolders that caused me to look elsewhere I went to Lumen Trails until they removed google drive sync Now Im using Rainbow Notes        Dont like

This used to be my fave most used app for todo lists grocery lists and everything I needed to remember But after a recent updateoverhaul this app is almost useless No longer are lists intuitive instead its a jumbled mess There used to be a way to order lists by due date and I cant figure out how to do that anymore So frustrated     Used to be great

The previous version was great With the new update however additional steps are needed to create a To Do task scheduled for a specific date and time Clicking on a date on the calendar and then adding a task no longer adds it to that day You now need to add the task and then reschedule it for the date you want What a pain     I loved this app until the last update

Ive been using this app for years and its become an essential tool for work I use it daily its very versatile I noticed a lot of people griping about the new and long awaited for update Personally I like it Yes some things got a little jumbled but everything is in tact Now theres no more lag iPhone 6 iOS 8x more text on the screen and lots of general improvements Most of the complaints I see in the reviews seem to be from user error or not correctly adjusting the default settings If users liked the older version why did they update New users should be pleased I highly recommend                 Awesome Note is awesome

Ive used this app for more years than I can remember and Ive watched as update after update stripped away the simple functionality I originally bought it for This last update made it completely unusable as a simple list manager Done working around these new features time to find a new app     Worhtless after update

This WAS an awesome app I kept track of everything in it I always used the iPhone calendar app until they changed that to be useless and now this app is useless I dont mind change and learning new functions etc but this was pointless Theres less functionality and more bugs Now to find a new calendarnote app Im almost ready to just go back to pen and paper because Im so over these pointless updates     Boo

Thanks a Lot for the recent update on Aug24th I have now rated you 5 stars again After the last full upgrade with the major changes the product seemed broken as good features from the the previous version were lost but now most of the old features are back and the new features are really powerful and I have grown to like them very much So thanks again aNote is again my favorite note taking app Some of my feature requests have not been fulfilled yet so Ill leave them here hoping you might develop some of them Feature requests PLEASE add bulleted and numbered lists aNote only has these check mark bullets which are nice but not sufficient Please add simple bullets and numbers which are very useful for writing lists If adding numbered bullets is hard then please add just regular bullets that would already be quite useful Please return the old icon set as an alternative to the current one It was much more professionally looking than the current one Ability to create simple tables so that text can be entered in a tabular format This would be really great Ive been looking for this in a note taking app but I cant find one Would allow more structured notes like price lists etc Thank you                 Much better after August 24th update
