I ve struggled for years to incorporate daily bible reading with my routine I would start out with my one year bible in hand and before I d know it my attention had wandered off to daily concerns I love how this app layers in commentary and short messages with the passages and verses This helps focus my reading and I find myself meditating on the messages throughout the day often re reading later in the day to refresh my memory I ve been recommending this app to anyone who ll listen Keeps me on track Farmout12
I have loved this app for several years now but I think it was the older version It worked very well I loved hearing Nicky and Pippa s voices taking me through the Bible every day and I liked the audio bible readings However when I bought a new iPad I was forced to get the newest app which will not automatically upload the new material each day like it s supposed to I have to delete the app and install a new one every day Great app for a long time Cheryl dr

This app is great for anyone who does not know where to start with the Bible There are lots of plans for going through the Bible in one year but the commentaries on this app help me understand the passages and apply them to my life Please do not be discouraged if you miss a day or two I am on my third year of getting through the Bible in one year but this app allows grace for slackers like me because I can go back as far as I need to I have been blessed by the hard work that has gone into this app and I recommend it to everyone Exactly what I was looking for Jacqueline Wood

My New Years resolution to read the entire bible hit a roadblock today Feb 1 when I stopped being able to get BiOY to update with new commentaries It was getting pretty flaky for the couple weeks always thinking it is Jan 10 storms of life and failing to load new days readings until after closing down and restarting the app But now that doesn t even work As a last resort I just now uninstalled and reinstalled it thinking maybe that would clear out some bad state I had somehow accumulated No dice Now it is just spinning forever This is your first time loading commentaries It could take a few minutes It has been close to 10 minutes now and still I wait I think maybe some server has crashed This app has lots of potential but someone has to commit to not leaving it to fall into disrepair I am now going to try to find a suitable replacement One last thing it feels strange that commentaries is the name given to the daily readings c f loading commentaries as though the reason I downloaded this app is Nicky Gumbel The main thing for me is the Bible It s BiOY not CiOY right Words matter I think the word readings would be a more appropriately general term than commentaries Good content Broken delivery Forgetful Nerd

I love the integration of the commentaries and the scripture passages This app got an upgrade at the start of the year now you can hear the scripture passages read aloud in addition to vicar Nicky Gumbel s commentaries There is currently a bug that s preventing these from playing sequentially and seamlessly but I have faith that HTB Alpha is working on getting that issue sorted out That bug aside this app continually proves to be quite a blessing Wonderful app historyvoice

This is my first year reading through the Bible and I am on day 5 with the app I havent had the greatest experience with commentaries so I usually prefer to just read the word But I have been blown away so far The commentary is extremely thoughtful and is adding so much to my daily time with God Love having the content readily accessible on my phone great format as I dont need to carry around extra books and can dig in anywhere A huge thank you to the Gumbels and the developers who made this app Im absolutely loving it and am so excited to continue reading throughout the year Best find of 2015

This is such an amazing app for reading the bible in one year It has all the scriptures at a click of the button tracks how much you did for the day and then a daily devotional The authors of this app really took their time to offer something substantial to the readers and I cant believe its free I love how they have a psalm for each day too Teaches us to become better psalmist Just a few days in and its been an easy plan to follow Just started Such a detailed app

Why not A The Bible app by LifeChurchtv has the wonderful ability to use a number of different versions not just NIV But also has the ability to show reverse video This means white letters on a completely black background This is a very low power operating mode for a display system and as a result the display does not time out to whatever your default timeout setting is in your iPhone Also the font sizes are adjustable So depending on your eyesight you can show more text or much larger letter sizes For these old eyes that is a distinct advantage Im looking forward to my experiences with your app starting January 1 Thank you for your efforts I look forward to future enhancements FWIIW I use a iPhone 6 I give app an A
