I paid a premium price for this app a while back Now every time it launches I get spammed with advertisements Wow To the shady developers you are so in the wrong on this one To the potential customers please do not support companies that make such terrible decisions There are plenty of other tuner apps out there And furthermore this one hasnt even been updated for the newer phones Everything is jumbo and weird looking Definitely avoid this company     Spam

The recent addition of functionality obscuring popup ads makes this app significantly worse        Now with annoying popup ads

What my 10 isnt enough Good lord every time I open the app it has some full screen ad Hint I paid 10 in order to REMOVE ads     Stop advertising

Im being prompted to pay more money to use this app all of the sudden I recall paying 10 for this back in 2009 How greedy of the makers of this app I should just uninstall I only use it for tuning my guitar Theres other apps that can do the same without charging a lot of money Middle fingers to you AgilePartners     Hmm I thought I already paid for the App several years ago

Ive had this app for years Mostly use it as a tuner and it was fine but now I constantly get upsell ads from them even though I paid for the app and I dont want to use it anymore Finding another tuner now     Pay for the app then get ads

I have to agree with the others The recent inapp spamming has ruined an otherwise awesome app I recommended this app more than almost any other but now Im looking for a replacement for myself and telling others to avoid it     amazing app ruined by greed

Excellent tuner functionality as well as a really useful reference for scales and chords However it sends you super annoying messages and does not give you a easily visible way to turn them off within the app so youre forced to uninstall it and then reinstall it when you want to use it So for example if youre headed off to drive across the state to bury your mother you can expect cheery notifications like Dont forget to practice your guitar this weekend Why any company would assume that I want or need notifications like that is utterly beyond me and why a company is willing to damage all of its goodwill with its otherwise happy customers is simply astounding        Excellent app bad company

Been playing about 7 years and this app has everything I want It baffles me seeing some of the low stars Love functions like plugging in notes and seeing what chordsscales it relates to etc No idea if its possible to even be better love this app                 Fantastic

I paid 11 bucks for this app but apparently thats not enough for these clowns because they keep displaying full screen ads for upgrades I do not need and do not want I miss the original app it worked great I cant get any work done with this     Constant upsell ads I cant get any work done

This app is so amazing It has so many scales and chords that can be viewed in multiple voicings in any key It can also do all of that in alternate tunings for guitar as well as for other instruments like banjo bass ukulele and mandolin When I originally bought this app it included the metronome and tuner as well as the chords and scales in one app Now it is purchased separately Do yourself a favor and buy the fullblown guitar toolkit While I do not think you necessarily need Tab toolkit or the Amps app the guitar toolkit app is putting to shame every book I have in my library A lot of people have been complaining about in app purchases or ads I have not had anything other than in app purchases or notifications about updates It is a simple pop up that is notifying you about more features you can purchase with the app I never seem to have an issue with closing it out Even if that was an issue the ability and knowledge inside this app would make every pop up worth it While it would piss me off if they started making me watch commercials I hope they havent done so it really comes down to whether or not you want to improve your guitar playing I would be willing to do just about anything to improve my knowledge and playing of the guitar All of you people whining and giving one star ratings should quit acting like a bunch of babies and realize that this is the greatest guitar app ever                 Like 1000 chord and scale books in one app

Have you ever read the reviews for an app where the majority of bad ones use almost perfect grammar and spelling Neither have I but here we see a great example Seriously if people are mad at an app they dont want to slow down and make certain theyre using clear verbiage Im calling horsepoop This app has been on my iPhone since the 3G and now the 6 and its been very stable the entire time Great features and that tunerperfection I hadnt started it up in a month or so busy summer but just did and had nothing but the sale screen pop up with three minutes to go to grab it Clearly labeled at the bottom of the screen No Thanks Easy to press and I dont have small fingers Clearly someone has a competing product theyd like to see benefit from Agiles lowered ratings Sometimes the freedom of the App Store system is a shameful thing to look upon                 1star reviews are lying badly

This is ridiculous I payed a good chunk of change for this app and now they serve me prominent splash screens advertising functionality I dont need     Boooo ads for a paid app to pay more

The tuner problem was quickly fixed and Im back to using my favorite tuner Thanks for a great product                 Tuner fixed

I bought it for 10 a couple of years ago then around 1 year later I deleted it because of all the ads they stared running I reinstalled it today thinking they may have smarted up No sir no way ads still coming in strong lol DO NOT BUY     Dont do it

It was a solid app but after paying for the app it now tries to up sell me every time I sit down to practice I am happy to pay developers for their hard work which I did The pestering is a very unwelcome experience     Paid for it now Im deleting it

This app does exactly what it claims Plus the best guitar tuner Ive ever used Well worth 10 Buy it You wont be sorry Update you actually will be sorry Putting ads in a program people paid for is one of the crappiest things a dev or company could do Id advise anyone with influence in this company to take a look at your plummeting rating Its gone from almost five full stars to almost one Including ads for people who paid 10 is not only disrespectful to your customers but its illogical and just plain stupid like shooting yourself in the foot Our only hope is someone with a modicum of business sense will correct this absolutely horrid decision and remove all advertisements for the people who paid money for this app Until then i am chagrined to have to change my rating of this program to one star because no stars is not an option     zXMalachiXz

I just received a pushlocal notification from this app that says Stay in tune with Guitar Toolkit I dont need to be reminded This is an abuse of the system If I receive one more notification this app will be deleted forever     Do not abuse iOS notifications to spam

That I bought when it first came out One of the more useful apps I have purchased Now when I turn it on to tune my guitar there is this nagging window that covers the app and I struggle to find the grayed out No Thanks option           Handy app

After paying for this app every time you run it has a giant banner ad asking you to pay even MORE money even though youve already paid for the app This is absolute fraud and should not be allowed on the Apple store     Absolute crap DO NOT BUY

I agree with others Paid 10 for this app years ago for a few basic functions Works great in that regard and those basic features have not been really upgraded or need to be With major app updates there has been features added as inapp purchases Im fine with that I still get what I originally paid for Recently however the app spashes ridiculous full screen adds to upsell its addons Very annoying when you just want to get to your tuner or metronome quickly All the extra locked features have added to the bloat making the app slower to launch Going to delete and switch to another tuner What shortsighted business practices        Spamming Customers

What used to be a decent app has turned into nagware The app nags you to buy an upgrade with no useful extra features every time the app is opened We should only have to decline once     Nagware

Guitar Toolkit is simply the best app of its kind in the App Store Ive tried them all The others dont come close to the functionality of this app All the negative reviews about spam Do you all not know how to go into your device settings open Notifications browse to the apps you wish to stop receiving such notices and simply turn them off Bam No more spam Really I think were seeing fake onestar post probably from the developers of the competition There couldnt be that many people who are that ignorant about their mobile devices                 Best in App Store

Ads Funny I thought I bought this app not a freebie Stop spamming me to buy your upgrade every other time I open this app or youll be deleted 50 of the time I open this app its your annoying add for an upgrade that isnt even useful for guitar players Plenty of other tuners out there This one is quickly becoming more annoying then useful with the ads that pop up 50 of the time Too bad it used to be my go to if they dont fix the spam it wont be        Stop hassling me to buy your upgrade

This is a great app for looking up chords and recording them in cord sheets But when youre playing multiple gigs there is no way to group cord sheets by show Instead you have to scroll through a long list of every chord sheet you have Please add this feature              Great App Missing Chord Sheet Organization

Still needs an update for iOS8 and 66 Seriously needs an update for iOS 8 and iPhone 6 and 6 Plus resolution Back to 5 stars after that Holy crap This has eliminated like 5 other apps Even so the reverse chord lookup alone is worth the money If you are a serious player or just a beginner get this app Especially if you write your own material and occasionally make up chords This app has pretty much any chord there is as well as any scale you could ever want to learn PsI havent yet tested the tuner or metronome for accuracy Just FYI But againreverse chord lookupvery nice     Buy this app now

Save the advertising for the free version You are quickly gaining a bad reputation and your business strategy is unethical if that matters to you I get it people buy the app and you still need ways to make money So make useful additions as inapp purchases What about an inapp song player that slows the speed of a song and allows the customer to learn a solo part How about connecting to a forum or community that includes some sort of file sharing info This has been a solid app for a long time but I have no problem sending your app to the trash if its not going to function quickly for me I want to open it and get started I dont want to watch an ad on a 10 app Save your business and be smart              Get rid of the ads

This is my first review I felt compelled When I first bought this app I thought it was a high price but a good investment for a convenient tuner Now upon updating I get spammed with ads Usually you pay to get rid of ads Didnt know it was only temporary I will now be looking for a new app to tune my guitar Sorry not sorry     Dont do it

Bought this app years ago then all of a sudden it became basically unusable unless you paid an additional 1199 Company should dump its CEO Was a nice app that worked well Why would you want to rip off loyal customers like that     Ripped off

When I bought this app I paid over 10 bucks for it That was fine it was a good app However Ive recently been getting spammed so badly by the app whenever I try and use it that when their forced upsell was presented to me as others have noted its almost impossible to find the close X on these things now I bought it just so I could get to the main app to tune my guitar for a gig Of course Apple compounded that problem because the upsell was supposed to be 199 but Apple waited so long to charge me I got charged 299 for something I just bought only to stop the spamming There really should be a way to report this kind of agressive inap purchase attack because this isnt the only app that does it but it is one of if not the worst I also noticed that there doesnt seem to be a customer email contact for these guys so I will NOT be buying anything else of theirs        Stop the spamming

Incredible This app is a One App doesitall true tool kit for guitarists I have tried numerous chord scale grid chart creation metronomedrum machine and tuning apps and wound up having to keep over 10 apps that do in a soso way what this one app does in a great way Do get the full upgrade this developer offers numerous opportunities to get it at greatly discounted rates Or shut off notifications for the app if you dont feel like paying more to get more features Lastly another of this developers apps called AmpKit is perfection in amp and effect modeling By far the best of the bunch                 Agile Partners Rocks

When I pay 7 for an app I expect to be able to use my metronome without have to first touch the worlds smallest No Thanks tap target As it stands now I no longer have a tuner that I can use for a quick tune up despite having paid for one This is the kind of crummy business practice that gives software a bad name     Avoid

Its one star away from greatness I love how you can note your own chord shapes and are not force to create Standard This to me is one of the strengths of this program Not only do I write a lot of my own music where I have my own chord forms but I also visually transcribe a lot of Allan a Holdsworth and Frank Gambale music For the former I must be able to break free from the standard norms One thing I have always wanted from this program was the ability to create and view scale fragments At the moment if I put in one note it also places it all over the neck I want to be able to create a scale grouping that only shows the notes I want to show It would be great for students to be able to see just a segment of a scale and at the same time not see the same old box shapes of the past At the moment 9999 of iOS apps use the same tired shapes Your program is the closest that has come to possibly break that barrier Please add an option to turn off the auto populating of notes when inputting a scale It would also be great to be able to create a chart with the scale but one thing at a time Please please please add an option to turn off the auto population of notes when creating a scale              Custom scales needed
