Works great easy to use Very user friendly                 Inavx
This app is the reason I got my first Iphone 3 After all these years and updates it is still reliable intuitive to use and beautiful to work with Seems to have great support as well though I have never had to use it Thanks                 Great app
I few months ago I found an area in the Chesapeake that pulled up the wrong chart When I sent the developer an email he acknowledged the bug quickly and indeed in a week or two the correction was included in the next revision I am a very satisfied user By the way it may not be clear that NOAA charts are all included at no extra charge Download most of your desired charts using wifi to avoid data usage Concerning version 415 It REALLY wont load or run On my original iPad it wont work On my iPad Mini it will run We also have iPhones but I will not update Please post results on iPhone and iPad versions if you have already updated If you have NOT updated Be warned at least until a correction is issued                 Excellent customer services
This app was awesome for shallow water navigation in the FL Keys However after Apple dumped Google Earth satellite maps the areas in the North side of the Keys and reef areas became grayed out making the satellite maps nearly useless The app needs a setting to allow the use of Google Maps vs the worthless Apple one It also needs the ability to see waypoint labels in MAP satellite view It also needs the ability to pick up a route and continue at any point in the route Currently you have to select the route and step to the desired starting point to pick up a route mid way through           Still Needs Post Google Map Loss Update
iNav was once great but now it is so slow unresponsive as to be nearly a brick It literally takes over a minute to scroll or zoom often does something unwanted like setting a Waypoint instead of scrolling Of course the refresh rate is about a minute so your surprise is that much greater GREAT DANGER Also angering is the Navimatics maps Good maps while they last but after a year your subscription is GONE as are your maps Hope it doesnt happen if you are offshore without Internet That is so unacceptableI would give those maps a single star rating if I could rate them separately        Was good Vector charts are 1yr subscription then GONE
Just be aware it only allows and draws sailing through orthodromics even on a meridian and you will not be able to change to loxodromics In my opinion not useful for Pros activities           Nice toy
This is a great app Use it for both planning and while sailing Would be nice to be able to drop and then retain lines and circles on the charts to allow for plotting danger bearings or distances Worth the price              Great App
Have used this program on my iPad2 with a Bad Elf plug in GPS antenna no need for wifi As a back up to my chart plotter Sailed the FL Keys last year gunkholing Charts where as accurate as as Raymarine chart plotter Nice to look at two chart showing boat position when traveling in tight shallow places There are a lot of NOAA charts to choose from I find it a very good program with lots of options My biggest complaint is moving from chart area to the next consecutive chart in route It doesnt jump to the next chart I would recommend this app              SWFL
I really cannot understand the recent and few negative reviews I am slipped in the Santa Cruz California small craft harbor I have 20 year old integrated Raytheon electronics fish finder radar chart plotter and following the tsunami that hit our harbor I lost the chart plotter functionality Knowing that to replace my integrated system would cost me over 10K I rolled the dice and downloaded INavX to temporarily replace the plotter as I was not prepared to haul out etc Well over two years later I still am not planning a haul out for electronics as I now am very satisfied with my IPADINavX next to my radar and fish finder I currently have all my fishing and important navigation coordinates loaded and adding new ones regularly with a tap of the stylus In actuality dont even miss my old chart plotter Thank you INavX Captain Rich BonnyMatit                 Exceptional
Expensive but worth it                 Love it
Might be the worst app out there Get Lowrance     Dont waste your money
For a program costing this much I would expect basic feature such as quilting and pinch to zoom between chart scales I find it near impossible to switch between charts when I need to These features alone would make the program bearable but for whatever reason they neglect to add such an important feature At this point I would say pass on this program     Pain to use
Ive used Inav for several years the most recent update has cause the application NOT to work on my IPad and I cannot get older application as its not an option I do NOT recommend downloading till such time as Inav corrects this issue     Mr
What happened to my NOAA chart access This new version appears to have limited the ability to get to charts I have used the app for years with multiple upgrades first major frustration Wish I had ignored the update        Maps Disappeared
I use this app on my ipad 4 on Lake St Clair which can be very tricky at times if you boat along the channels and bays which have areas of sandbars and shallowed depths As a second year boat owner I love the tracking function that I use to follow a more knowledgeable boater to areas that I have not traveled to with my own boat After tracking the route its easy to then create waypointes and routes for later use on my own The 4g network supports the entire Lake St Clair but this may not be the case on the larger Great Lakes where you may need satellite services If you live or boat on a lake that has available 4g service then this app is awesome as many of my friends with more expensive gps devices are now favoring the decision of downloading and using on Lake St Clair                 Great nav app for Lake St Clair
Version 4 keeps crashing Previous versions worked great Wish I could go back to the previous version     Version 4 is a literal a nonstarter
Please dont waste your money junkGarbage 5000 down the toilet     Owner
Ive used this app while cruising on a 36 ft sailboat all along East Coast for 6 years It is not my primary Chart plotter but an excellent back up and even better for planning routes and exploring options for anchorages All NOAA raster charts are free To put this in perspective my primary Chart Plotter from Garmin costs 900 and requires 250 per Chip just for the Chesapeake Bay region 50 for is a bargain Dont pay attention to reviews from people looking for free or 99 cent apps who dont understand the power of a full chart plotter                 Excellent Chart Plotter with Free Raster Charts from NOAA
We use this daily on our commercial boat charters who could ask for a better low cost GPS on the boat                 Great App for charts
The latest update crashes on both my iPhone and iPad when loading local charts Erasing the app doing a hard reset and reloading does not solve the problem Previous versions of this app were very good and I am confident this problem will be resolved in the near future Until then I dont recommend updating to this version     Problems with version 400
Useless You have to download areas on the fly To get a detailed map you can only look at a 2 mile section then zoom out download the next in your trip Ridiculous and not something you can do in route I assumed a 50 app would have been the best of the best since you really cant try it until you buy it I downloaded a 5 app that actually works So keep please looking     Save your money
Im very pleased with this app While I wouldnt make it my primary device for location Ive found it quite accurate Fun to pull it out of your picks on a friends boat and use the instrument function And on shore nice to have all the charts on hand when pondering where to head tomorrow                 Longtime user
Just deleted iNavX and all the charts with it from my iPad never liked the App or the interface or the way to get charts via that crazy website Navionics are sooo much better and FUN to navigate with     Bad Nav App
Just navigatedtravelled 460 NM in the San Juan Islands and Canadian Gulf Islands using iNavX and for the second year can report flawless operation and ease of use Yes I have a Navman and a Garmin chartplotter but they dont come close to user friendliness and convenience while in port planning or while underway There are those that just want to passively watch their boat move over a chart but my boat cruises at 20 Knots and I need to preplan and preclear my waypoints and assemble them into a route to follow for safe and flawless passage through passes and channels that are known to challenge and sometimes frustrate the boaters using them Kudos to the developers for a fine and professional product I have only one question why does our legal system force all navigation software developers to state that their products are for reference only and not for navigation only approved NOAA charts are to be used for navigation Even the USCG and USN use apps ECDIS and digital charts for navigation while carrying paper charts for safety backup purposes                 Outstanding Nav App Professional Grade
This has been a great app for me on the Great Lakes It is my navigation instrument on iPad and iPhone It is great at anchor and everywhere else It also supports Navionics vector charts It supports waypoints routes weather data and with my Digital Yacht AIS it also displays all my instruments data from my NMEA 2000 network It also displays the AIS info of course                 My navigation app
Each time I try to use this app it says it needs to reload all the N6 maps and the xtraverse system is almost hopelessly complex It always wants me to repurchase and renew some subscription or whatever When it works it great but I never can get it to work and theres no helpline to correct it Plus it cost a lot of money initially and they need more money every time I try to restart the app Help        App constantly loses map base
The app is great but tiled charts are not included The app doesnt even tell you it just keeps throwing a download error until you google the problem and find you have to buy a 10year xtraverse account in order to get tiled charts For the cost of this app they could at least make that more obvious           Tiled charts not included
Just updated 472015 and now app wont start Have vr 511 OS It says 51 or higher     Dont UPDATE
Sailing from Long Beach to San Francisco we lost our electrical While sailing at night without lights and radio through the 10 to 15 foot swells at Point Conception and eventually through thick fog in the San Francisco Bay I was able to conserve the battery on my iPhone by turning down the brightness while using my compass and iNavX to guide me home It was the best 49 insurance policy that Ive ever spent and much cheaper than funeral expenses Thank You iNavX                 iNavX Saved My Life
Without a doubt this is the best marine navigation app Ive tried them all now and iNavX is the only app I used Whether Im sailing in San Francisco or open ocean racing iNavXs comprehensive features and access to all the charts I need clearly sets it apart Dont be nickelanddimed by cheaper apps with all their IAPs I ended up spending a lot more than what iNavX charges and got a fraction of the features More importantly through iNavXs partnership with XTraverse I got all the international charts I need Really helpful when I was sailing the Virgin Islands this spring                 The BEST boating and Marine Navigation App
This app is a lifesaver Works perfectly with my existing systems Have used to plan my past few trips around the Bay Area Fantastic                 Amazing App great comparability
Back up and running Great product for navigation great support                 Latest update now works on iPad wiOS 511
A complete waste of 50 How can a 2013 navigation app not stitch the maps together Routing is impossible the user interface is terrible Buy the Garmin or Navionics app instead     Terrible App
This app used to work nicely but since the last update it only displays lat long and a few other stuff No SOG speed over ground and other actually useful stuff     Go back to the upgrade that worked
Been using for years and just getting around to leaving a review Amazing chartplotter but even better integration with my AIS GPS etc Love all the chart options Nothing better Cant say enough good things                 Best marine navigation app
Still doesnt have a good project waypoint function something all Garmin handhelds have Also no option for creating routes directly from the chart           Not great
I downloaded Update 460 yesterday 73115 and my iNavx App will not open now When I try to open it it shows the open screen open and immediately close again My iPad is iOS 613 I have used this App every week for the last 2 years flawlessly and I am not happy being on the water today without my iNavx Are you working on a correction update to fix this problem Needless to say I am not happy right now Art     Problem with Update 460
I have used INavX for a couple of years in combination with bad elf GPS I have great confidence in the program and keep in front of me at the wheel and in my berth when Im off watch to keep an eye on things Now that quilted charts are available on my IPad I dont need to check my main nav program at the nav station as often INavX makes giving quick course and distance info to crew very easy most wonder how I know the info at any given moment they think Im a genius There is a great deal yet to learn in this program I learn more on every passage Last but by no means least is the quick email response to every question Ive had with iNavX                 Capt
We have been full time cruisers for three years now During that time we have sailed from Maine to the Bahamas to Duluth and this has been our primary navigation system Our Raymarine chart plotters remain for the radar but every other function of planning routing plotting AIS and weather are done from our wifi network and the iPad Everyone is impressed when I show them driving our 47footer from the little iPad We did have an issue with a new version a year ago but one phone call and a new version was emailed to us Nothing gets fixed that fast on a boat but these guys did it We could only ask for Active Captain to make this the most complete plotter out there                 Top of the plotters
Just arrived jn unfamiliar waters and spent 50 for the app One day in and I still get an error that it cant reach the servers when I try to look up tides Yes I can get that information other ways but the whole point of spending 50 on an app was to have everything integrated Also the interface is not very intuitive There is a significant learning curve to get what you need I say this as someone who grew up around boats charts as a teen I helped local boat owners navigate using their Loran C coordinates and paper maps before GPS and work in technology field This app is OK but NOT worth 50        Cant Reach Servers for Tides
Very full featured I have used this navigation app on several extended trips and it was well worth the cost Paired with addon Navionics vector charts it is comparable to much more expensive dedicated chart plotters                 Exceptional navigation app
Up loaded today Will not load Do do it     iNav
I use this program every time I go out sailing Great addition good price I hope that there might be support added in the future for Apple watch It would be great if I could take a quick look at the chart or one of the other NEMA 2000 instruments without having to pull out my phone and potentially have it fall overboard If you are considering adding this if be happy to help beta test those additions using test flight You could probably even add such apple watch capability as an in app purchase to help make it worth your time and effort                 Great software add support for apple watch
Constantly freezing while navigating and trying to change zoom level which is dangerous COG bar never indicates your actual direction deletes your old tracks even when you have plenty of space on your ipad Doesnt include a one touch MOB button which should be mandatory Complicated to build routes and only will export to kmlkmz format rather than the more commonly used gpx Cannot name two waypoints or routes the same thing what if you want to mark rocks or reefs     Freezes and deletes your stuff
For 50 most of us would like to have charts of the coastline You will not find any charts that depict channels At least around Tampa What a waste of money I would imagine that most boaters that travel offshore already have a gps If I could navigate with this app from the dock to the ocean it would be worth the price Look before you buy Make sure its the basic map you want     Rip Off
Have used this app cruising in the US Caribbean Ling island sound and narangassett bay RI Perfect app Has up to date charts accurate location and chart plotting abilities This app turns your iPhone into a very valuable piece of hardware for navigation                 Awesome Nav app
I have been using this app do 3 years Tried other nav apps but nothing comes near It does take some practice and read the guide that comes in the app Its the best out there                 The best and still getting better
Great App for the serious navigator who wants up to date NOAA charts at their disposal The weather apps available for in App use are fantastic                 Great for the serious navigator
Have been using this app for past several years on commercial car carrier with input from vessels AIS pilot plug and utilizing Navionics charts In the past year have circumnavigated globe twice The AIS interface from pilot plug is extremely helpful Suggested improvement would be to include target AIS ETA to destination Easy to use app with good features Only down side is all legs of voyage are Great Circle with no option for Rhumb Line track Suggest that Rhumb Line track be a feature in future update Not so keen on touted new app icon Looks cheesy and not classy like previous icon app with chart and single hand dividers please bring back the previous app icon Overall best navigation app on the market                 Excellent Marine Navigation App
Xtraverse where you have to buy the charts has discontinued the Pacific charts I bought and told me I have to buy the new improved bigger more expensive chart package and that I cant download the charts I already bought on my backup ipad Not cool INavX and I wont be using the app anymore     Bad business
