I have always wanted to be a runner but I was never able to pick up the habit With Jeff s Run Walk Run Method I recently completed my first marathon and I couldn t be more proud of myself If you can walk you can do this program The nonjudgmental way that it allows you to start with pretty much no running ability at all I ran for only 5 seconds out of each minute on my first run and build from there at a pace that suits your body and your objectives really worked for me As someone who s struggled to find a cardio regime for years and could never stick with it I highly recommend this app                     First Steps to my First Marathon Molly.jeanne
I was looking forward to this app only to be left disappointed I set everything up the night before Found out the most of my usual playlist can t be used and I m not a fan of the music provided Decided to deal with it Set it to start at week two since I ve been regularly running for 40 60 minutes Start the app this morning and it had reset to day one I had selected a 16 min mile 30 seconds longer than I ve been doing Well this app includes the walking in your mile time so my run intervals were much faster than I m used to My warmup is always nice and slow due to arthritic back and hips I need the 16 minute program in more pain than when I started While I love the Galloway method this app was a waste of money and I won t be using it again     Disappointed WoollyWy

I have been enjoying the app Found it very helpful However day 1 and day2 of week 3 appear to have a glitch Near the end of workout it tells us to start walking but then about a minute later coaches on my running form and tells me to keep strong and music is at a ruining pace so we start running again May need an update Otherwise really enjoying the app                 Glitch come week 3 Ihanka

This app makes beginning a running program a breeze especially if you re training outdoors The best part is that as you follow the prompts the music will increase or decrease its cadence to match the pace the program wants you maintain I find it a bit tougher to match treadmill runs with the music Trying to find the right belt speed for the pace cadence is a bit of a challenge and I feel awkward when running or walking out of sync with the music                 Makes Run Walk Run Easy and Enjoyable Rerun201

The good The method works 18 months ago I couldn t run 1 mile without dying I can now run 10K Yay The run walk run style is perfect for me I am now doing the last week of the 10K app did the 5K app twice Here s what I have to say about the app Interface Extremely confusing for the first month THere s way too much information and you don t quite know what is what It has way too many controls that it makes it too easy for one to change a setting unwillingly I ve totally spoiled my day s exercise by simply hitting a button The worst I have no idea what it was My suggestion Have a LOCK button Which happens more frequently a one wants to change the exercise settings mid run and therefore needs them to be readily available at any time or b On accidentally hits said settings and has unforeseen consequences B me thinks At the end of the workout You click End Workout then you re offered to share it on Facebook then you re taken to NEXT DAY S workout I find it clumsy There should be some summary page and then a sort of a home page Not the workout you are not doing today I always found the end of the workout pretty weird Music I tried Hard Many times It s frustrating to say the least It won t include a number of your tracks and there s nothing you can do about it Apple Music compatibility problems whatever the issue is Best to simply use the No Music setting and use Apple Music directly Sharing your workout Only on Facebook No pictures Suggestion Add ALL of the options iOS offers Coaching Audio Efficient for the most part I just wish he d say what complex carbohydrates are Seriously A couple of examples would be great I just wish they would be more covered distance aware The level of peep talking could meet the covered distance Updates For a year and a half I haven t seen an update that made ANY improvement to the app be it aesthetic or aiming at improving the interface The method is great It works but comes in a ragged not attractive and cumbersome interface I just wonder what they could accomplish if they modernized it and actually listened to what people say I ve seen the same complaints over and over again and NOTHING is done They could even have an app that offers the method and you could enter your own time and or distance that you want to cover for the day but something tells me that nobody wants to fix this already perfect not product Apple Watch ZERO support Need I say more It could be a 5 star app Today it s a 2 because there s so much to be done I wish they d fix it From what I ve seen they don t seem to be even paying attention Pity This review goes for the Easy 5K and the Easy 10K as well which i ve been using every week for the past year and a half Actually it s getting ONE today because the lack of updates leads me to believe this is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN     No significant updates in 18 months ptezco

His voice is so quiet you can t even hear his direction It sounds like he s saying a lot at the beginning and end but you have to turn the music up so loud to try and hear him it s impossible The app is pretty useless without being able to hear when to walk and run and his directions I wish you could turn up the volume of his voice     Way too quiet Josieknits

I love the actual running portion of the app Jeff Galloway has a great method that is actually getting me into running but the longer I use it the more frustrated I grow with the fact that it doesnt work with pandora or iTunes Radio The rest of the lolo apps I have do and Im not sure why this one does not I even tried turning off the beat synch function Ill probably just switch to an interval timer for the short run days so I can listen to the radio instead           Great for new runners but has its problems

I was a committed runner for years After burning out after my fourth marathon I took an indefinite period of time off and had my first baby during that time I have now turned the corner and am excited to embrace my old love again with a stroller Jeff Galloway has made it SO manageable getting back after not running for 25 years I actually look forward to every run I feel so empowered I am surprised I can even say these words the idea of running seemed unbelievably daunting before finding this app DEFINITELY worth the tiny price tag                 Baby to 5K
Been using this app for over a year have nothing but good things to say This app 5k is great for beginning or slower runners I am a Jeff Galloway devotee but this app would be helpful for anyone who wants to use the runwalk method What I like is the ability to tailor the pace to your needs I also like how you can switch between treadmill outdoor running Plus its good to be able to swap weeks and runs and redo a run as many times as you like What I REALLY like is how you can use your own music and the app speeds it up or slows it down to match the interval You can also speed up a songs pace midrun And then there is the huge bonus of Jeff Galloways coaching I had been running with a group this app gives me better information and motivation than I ever got from the group coach Those of us who are slow are often left in the dust But no more I feel like Im getting actual useful information that I can use in every run This 1200 with a goal of 1100 pacer gives                 So motivating
I really like what this app tries to do I like that it has a beginner feature and an improve my time feature However the paces that are recommended based on my stats are simply absurd Ive run a few 5ks My best race pace was 1123 minmile so I put 1200 into the app as my last 5k pace to be conservative Id like to get down to 10 minmile so that is my target 5k pace in the app So based in these settings for my first workout which is supposed to be an easy 20 min jog to get you started the default pace is 64 mph or 922 minmile Are they crazy I dont know if the app is broken or the programmers are out of their minds But how is that a realistic pace with the stats I entered I ran 5 minutes at that pace and had to slow down to 52 mph for the rest of my run just to avoid walking Really annoying Unless they fix the pacing I wont be using the app Whats the purpose I could just write down a plan from a magazine and wing it on the paces if they are not going to provide proper coaching Boo on this one     Nice in theory not in practice
If you love it when a song comes on your iPhone and matches exactly the pace you are running then this app is for you You load your own music on it determines the BPM then selects the right song for your pace And since its a Galloway app you probably have walk intervals right No problem it adjusts the tempo just enough that it now matches the pace of your walk Its easy to configure your pace and runwalk ratio and just as easy to adjust them while on the run And if you have any issues the Lolo customer service is great Honestly I cannot say enough great things about this app                 I feel like a rock star

I couldnt post my workout to Facebook so I used lolo support which told me to log out and log back in I logged out tried to log in and received a notification that my pw was incorrect was pretty sure it was not So I then submitted a request to reset my password and was emailed a link Now the link doesnt work Please correct this issues ASAP I love the app but I dont like not being able to post results or log in     Cant post to fb log in or reset password

When I initially attempted the Easy 5K program with Jeff Galloway Improve 5K Time I was very skeptical that it would help me progress positively as a more established runner I believed it was taking me backwards instead of forwards in my journey especially the speedwork and the long runs Firstly I didnt think one needed to run 12x400s or a 7 miler for a 5K race but I gave it a go anyways and today I can definitely state I ran my last 5K race faster than I had hoped I would I went from a 16 minmi to a 13 minmi in 7 weeks Now dont get me wrong I still wouldnt recommend a 7 mile long run for a 5K race but overall the program worked Now I am on to the Easy 10K program beginners version              Skeptical at first
I been trying to find a good C25K program Have tried 4 over the last two years This one has been on point for me I love the coaching and tips Works great on my iPhone and the updates have been huge Got to import my own music This app does get update and fix concerns with some users Only the users could make this a better app 4 stars cause I caught this app free on apps gone free appprogram When I started it would have been a strong 3 stars with updates an easy 4 with updates away from 5 stars              I went from 272lbs to 251lbs

Ive been a walkerjogger for longer than I care to admit This app is the first one Ive tried that I know my running style is improving my times are getting better and its working What works For the 5K training theres a choice between new or experienced you can put your desired pace and set the interval spacing Each days workout is clearly stated and the progression feels very appropriate The music is technobeat or you can use your own The readout is clear and readable while runningalways a bonus For me I think the best part is that Jeff Galloway has a very friendly style and his voice with a slight Southern tinge is encouraging without letting you off the hook I wouldnt respond well to a militarystyle coaching which this isnt If barking orders is your style then this probably isnt the app for you I am a fan and am considering pushing myself into the 10K or maybe even the halfmarathon Im definitely sticking with Lolo for coaching                 Great app
Its hard for me to give this app a favorable review when one of its main functions ceases to work properly I was about 5 miles into my 55 mile run when the runwalk ratio stopped working and kept me at a perpetual walking pace If this were not an issue I would rate the app 4 stars        Sigh

Ive for about 10 5k training Apps and this one is one of the best Ive ever had I like his method better then couch to 5k and I love how it ups or downs the tempo of the music to how you should be running                 Great app
First of all the good part the training plan is good Its fairly predictable once you know the pattern Im approaching the end of the plan and I think Im going to hit my new time goal Even if I dont Im definitely getting faster and the interval training has been key Jeffs coaching is nice but its nothing groundbreaking If you havent had coaching before by all means download it and use it But if youre a seasoned runner you probably wont get much out of it Even if its new youll hear everything within a few weeks and might opt to turn it off I like Jeff though hes really nice and its kind of fun to hear his friendly southern voice in my ears during a run Now the bad parts THE MUSIC Do not I repeat DO NOT download the music Its awful Unless you like generic electro fitness music And you cant delete it once you do download it Unfortunately youre prompted before every run to download it and so either you download it or you have to press not now before every run THE PLAYLIST You cant just play your iTunes playlists you have to create playlists from within the Lolo app This is dumb I already have lots of running playlists set up in iTunes and on my phone My mistake is that I downloaded the free music and have an empty playlist so even with max variety turned off its an option to mix in the Lolo music with your playlist at random when I start a run I get the Lolo music in my headphones I then have to turn the volume down in the Lolo app using the onscreen slider and start music up from my iPod app to get what I want to hear Unfortunately changes to the volume seem to reset the Lolo musics volume and I have to go back to the Lolo app and pull that slider down again THE PACE Something is wrong where you put in your 5K pace during set up and its unclear if this is your goal pace or your current pace or what This is never clarified but its basically a pace used to calculate how long a given workout would take if you hit that pace So its lacking because you have two runs a week that shouldnt be at goal pace and you have one run a week with intervals where the intervals should be at goal pace but the 5 minute warmup and cooldown portions shouldnt be Its probably less of a problem for firsttimers but for people on the improveyourtime track it doesnt make sense there should be a goal pace and a normal pace which shouldnt even be your current 5K pace but your general pace Also it displays your actual pace in the upperright but as far as I can tell this is you average pace taking into account your total time and distance this run So during an interval session you run 400 meters at goal pace then walk or run slowly 200 meters Therefore the actual pace is merely an average and not your actual instantaneous pace This is a huge fail how else am I supposed to know at least in GPS mode not on a treadmill if Im hitting my goal pace during the 400 meter sections I use another app in conjunction with Lolo Runkeeper to help keep me on target during the interval sessions THE REPORTING I recently did a workout that was reported at 399 miles is 3639 again combined 30 minute with walking warmupcooldown and the pace was listed as like 180 minmile Thatsincorrect STABILITY Ive had a few crashes during runs and while the app will get itself back to where it was it seems a little confused for a while before it gets on track Also if youre not in the middle of a workout putting the app in the background or just going to sleep causes it to shut down completely and bringing it back to front means you have to go through the start screen with the stupid lolo chime sound again SPAM Its not spam technically but be prepared for a bunch of emails from Lolo once you run the app and create your Lolo account You can unsubscribe but geez I cant think of any other app I have paid or otherwise that hit me so hard with marketing emails In short the content is there but there are enough flaws to make this app almost more annoying than its worth UPDATE Lolo seems to have fixed the music Im not sure why but at least Im not subject to the bad music the app provides anymore But theres an even worse issue when the phone goes to sleep whether by timeout or by pressing the lock button Galloways voice instructions stop Annoying when the phone goes to sleep in the middle of an interval and Galloway never tells you to stop           I want this to be awesome

Tried many different learn to run apps and this one by far is the best Love being able to change the walkrun ratio and pace You can use it on a treadmill or gps outside The music feature to speed up and slow down the music to your pace is very cool Just wish that it would work with a Bluetooth heart rate monitor transmitter Definitely get this app for new runners and check out their other apps for after you master your first 5k                 Love this app
After a little learning curve and playing around with the features I really enjoy this app And for some reason the badge at the completion of your workout is motivating I find myself wanting to earn another one My workout goes by quicker with this app and I push myself more than I do without it Ill be using this one              Very good
The guys at lolo got me running again with their BeatBurn apps and they helped me lose and keep off 35 pounds I started trying other running apps to mix it up a bit and push myself but I always come back to lolo Its just a different experience No one else allows you to customize your workouts like this All the Couch to 5K apps are exactly the same no matter who your are or what you can do And no one else matches your music to your pace I cant put into words how much better it makes each workout I cant thank them enough for the terrific apps they put out They have changed my life and I will keep buying any thing else they release                 Best 5K App
I am a big fan of Jeff Galloway and his methods however this app falls flat It is not intuitive or easy to use and needs to be kept unlocked while running This sounds ok but when actually done its not You need to lock your phone to keep all kinds of apps from opening and calls or texts being made Its also loses its functionality when you run with podcasts which is what many runners do For these reasons I say dont waste your money on this app and find some other way to use Jeff Galloways tested and true running methods Two thumbs down to this app     Galloway method good app bad
First let me say I bought Jeff Galloways beginning runner book back in the 80s so his name was familiar to me I am old and slow now but saw this app and downloaded it a couple of weeks ago I started the program 2 weeks ago and love it My only beef is once in a while the app doesnt load the first time I press the icon Other than that I have not had anything other than good results Thank you                 I really like this app

I really like the approach to the training schedule but the App could use some refinement The big bummer for me is that it doesnt work with AirPlay The coaching plays and the interface will mirror through an Apple TV but no music plays Even worse I have to quit and relaunch the App to get music to play at all after trying to use AirPlay I wanted to use the App on my treadmill without ear buds but no joy        Needs some work

Ive been trying to use this app for a few months with little success Most days it takes three or four tries before the app will actually open When it does open the app plays the same song over over again It often sounds like its skipping as well like an old record player Today the app shut down 26 minutes into my run so it gave me the option to restart or end my run I restarted and it did it again after 30 minutes I believe in the Galloway method and really do like listening to Jeffs pointers along the way I would like to use his 131 app someday but if lolo doesnt work out the bugs Ill have to look for another similar app Come on lolo pull it together        Disappointing frustrating

I had high hopes for this and I was really disappointed To start off I selected improve my 5k time Im prompted to select 5k Pace Is this my current 5K pace Or my goal 5K pace It doesnt tell me so right off Im confused There are also no suggestions guidance for want RWR ratio to select I know from reading online that Jeff Galloway does have recommendations for the ratio based on your pace but these are missing from the app so I picked one that I thought would be comfortable for me Anyway I selected my pace and my ratio and off I went on a run I skipped the first one and started on week 1 day 2 4 x 400m intervals Once the run interval starts there is no feedback on your progress For each interval I had to pull my phone out of my pocket to check and see why I wasnt done yet each time with about 003 miles left Then for week 1 day 3 the intro says this is the long run and the focus is endurance and stamina and NOT speed and to take it easy Yet the run pace is set to 2 minutes per mile FASTER than the pace I selected in settings Umm I cant do 3 miles at that pace even with the RWR intervals The app does allows me to change the current pace during the run so I bumped it down 2 notches and was comfortable Changing this during a run seems like a one time change and something that I could do if it was hot or I wasnt feeling great I was surprised to find the next time I went into settings my 5K pace was now set to 2 minutes slower than it had been before thus affecting all future workouts Features that need to be added for me to really want to use this app Ability to see the map of my run when using GPS Ability to see a graph of my speed andor split times Verbal feedback on pace telling me how fast I should be going and when Im overunder the target pace not just Run for 4 minutes now walk Verbal feedback on timedistance at set intervals which could be configurable UI improvements I find the overall navigation and display very confusing in this app Overall I think Ill stick with Runtastic or Runkeeper and just manually create interval workouts for the RWR program This way I will have the maps graphs split times and verbal feedback that I want PS The concept of adjusting the music to match the pace is interesting but what I found is that during the walking intervals a lot of my music just sounded distorted and at the faster paces I felt like I was listening to the Chipmunks        promising but missing key features
Waaaahhhh I was so excited to buy the bundle and improve on my 5K then train for a 10k and a half but now Im so bummed All I listen to while running are podcasts and I cant do this at least not in any easy way whatsoever Looks like older versions allowed this developers please fix ASAP        I purchased the whole bundle cant listen to my podcasts
I am on my second pass on this 5K app the first was the beginners then I started the improve my 5K time The coaching works great and makes getting up to speed easy One small issue is the music I added my own music but after the app gets going it seems to play the same song back to back the moves onto the next selection and the same thing This is a little annoying While I can manually switch songs that is really only doable when I am on the walk section If this minor bug could be fixed I could easily rate it a 5              I like the app but small issues
This app has such a good start but wanes Jeffs program is 15 weeks the app has only 8 so I repeated week 8 day 3 MANY times and of course it was off I emailed to see if there was another 12 but got no reply I would try their apps again but only if I could be assured it had all of what was suppose to be there If you only do 12 of Jeffs programs say so        Good idea incomplete app

The first song always repeats This is very annoying The whole point of these walkrun 5k trainers is to get you running an entire 5k C25k does this by slowly shortening walk periods and increasing run periods and by the end youre supposed to be running the entire thing Unfortunately Easy 5k leaves the walkrun ratio up to the user The only thing it really does is increase the workout times How this is supposed to push me I have no clue A user could get to the end of the program and not really be running the entire 5k A personal trainer should be there to push you not let you cheat your way through Because of this Im going back to C25k I do think that the Beat Burn Treadmill walkrun app is a lot more challenging and I will do that app as a supplement when I want some additional training to C25k        Bugs Doesnt really do much to push you
I was previously not a runner but I just completed the entire 8 weeks on this app I loved everything about it and never had one hiccup Starting another 8 weeks tomorrow to increase my time LOVE THIS APP                 Perfect to get you moving
Ive been using this app for about 2 months I was very pleased from day 1 Id been trying to get the hubby to try it out because I knew from my experience it would make a runner out him Hes not on the sofa but definitely antirun Well today he gave it a try He has already enthusiastically planned for Day 2 running gear and all This is a fantastic app                 Best 5K App
I used to love this app and it helped me to run a 5K recently But the latest upgrade doesnt allow me to stream music from another app When Jeffs cue interrupts the music it doesnt allow the streaming music to restart without manually pressing the play button That makes this app very hard to use           Latest version
I was using another app and could not seem to get beyond a certain point in my exercise I was focusing to much on my being tired and how much time before I could walk With this app I just focus on my feet hitting the ground with the beat and before I know it he says its time to walk This app has reinvigorated my desire to get healthy through running                 Awesome
I am just a beginner runner well maybe a little farther than that but I had tried two other running 5K apps last year and while I completed one and it was a lifesaver keeping me going and on track I prefer this app way more I am not really into speed times at this point I am just still trying to make running a regular part of my life all year round and I am using running for weight loss more than the accomplishment of being able to say that I can run 5K Additionally I have a movement disorder related to Parkinsons dystonia in my hands arms and calves I dont get the tremorsinstead I get painful muscle spasms which prevent me from running long periods of time That being said this program works perfect for my situation as I can fully adjust my runwalk ratio I currently can run for 5 minutes at a time before my calves lock up then a brief walk and sensory tricks disengages the spasm I could not do this with other programs I had to follow their set ratios and found myself messing up the programmed run time Then as a bonus with this app the music speeds up and slows down to match my pace and I get to hear cool tips from Mr Gallowayboth of which was not in the other programs Since I will probably never worry about my time I am just still grateful I can still run this app allows me to go at my own pace I would recommend it to anyone                 So far so good
This app has made it so I can just focus on the running The training is useful and effective I really like how it changes the tempo of my music to help match my pace I love the interval training and that I can adjust those intervals anytime I want                 Love it
I just finished my third day with Jeff and all I can say is wow Ive never run a 5k before but I think Im going to continue with the plan and sign up for a real event                 A great app
I love the app and feel stronger every time I do it but the music ALWAYS cuts off in the middle of a run leaving me with nothing but Jeffs voice My other Lolo apps do the same thing on my iPhone 5 I cant usually exit and come back in to get music playing but if youre running that is sometimes hard to do           Like the appbut
Now I can train and sign up for a 5K in June Plus its Jeff Galloway Who better to train with than the Jeff Galloway himself I already finished week 1 day 1 and I think Ill have a lot of fun with this Thank you guys                 From Intervals to a 5K

Ive tried a few couch to 5k apps and always got frustrated and quit after a few weeks because it wasnt flexibility to my abilities With this app I can change my walkrun ratio to what Im comfortable with Ive made it through the whole program and will be running my first 5k in 2 weeks                 Love this app
Ive tried several other Couch to 5K programs This is the first one that lets me customize for interval running Finally I feel like Im making progress Running with asthma requires me to take small breaks so that I can finish my distance goal This program does just that Finally I can say I finished a program to run a 5K Next challenge is the 10K                 Great for runners with asthma
I like the training method but I keep having issues with the playlist I add all of my music but each time I go to the next workout the playlist is gone and I have to reload it It also plays the same done two or three times instead of a different song every time Please fix           Good App but Still Has Issues
I am a lifelong walker but like to train for one 5K I like to run in the spring This app helps me to gradually train for it I start out huffing and puffing and by the end of the 78 weeks Im doing much better trying to finish strong The beat sync is cool you know when to walk or run and he is very encouraging                 Great app
