Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for iPad

Tried on new iPad all pages are blank Very poor quality     No longer works on new iPad

Though the layout looks promising if you cant search Im not going to use it I GET the daily paper and sometimes want to send an article to someone and have a hard time finding itReally        No Search No Thanks

Not much here subscription required and it still contains ads Not worth the effort     Not good

Just wondering if the owners have just decided to dump the paper Simple math Majority has Internet so majority can access most of local info online so why bloody hell would anyone pay to access free information Maroons     New jsonline app stinks

Works only about 20 of the time now No rhyme or reason when it does or doesnt work     Used to be awesome now crashes constantly

I subscribe primarily to follow the Packers and MJS has the best coverage in the State too bad Tom Oates isnt on the MJS Staff Problems T 1 I need to delete and reinstall app on my Ipad every 45 days The individual articles load but the front pages do not load eg The sports section page will not load but the drop down list will populate and the articles are there 2 Getting to stats is diabolical I finally figured out how to do it the other day Step 1 go to front page of Sports Section if it loads that is Step 2 click on stats scores step 3 Click on league NFL NBA etc Step 4 click on team stats Step 5 click thru until you find game vs seasontodate stats 3 many links take you JS Online which looks like the paper version An extremely annoying feature is that you have to log on again for JS Online even though you are clicking thru from the app 4 The ipad version has a better drop down menu than the iPhone the Packers are listed in the Ipad drop down menu as an option which doesnt exist on the iPhone versions 5 the blog posts seem to show up randomly on the app much easier to find in JSOnline but not a friendly format for reading 6 the more I write this I realize the app is really only good as a reader for articles and frankly has me thinking about going back to paper     Great content lousy app

Add comics to the updated version that is why I have it           No comics

Font size is too small on the smartphone app Also font cannot be adjusted Content is pretty good I wish the articles were dated instead of being posted in such a random way Sorry MJS but the Racine Journal Times app is much better     Disappointedcan hardly read it

I have been using this app for more then a year and think it is great I use it daily and have only seen it crash 1 or 2 times very good in my book The Packers coverage is about the best around Keep up the good work              Great App

Why would anyone pay 099 a week for this app when you can download all the news stations for free and get all the news free Lets face it News is free and JS better get with the program or its going to be bye bye for them Im sure if they lowered there outraging prices for advertisers they could make it free     Why

What happened to the constant push notifications Ever since iOS 8 I have recieved zero notifications Thats after reinstalling app several times Developers do not resond to email     Push Notifications No Longer Work

App had been great until the pixel popups started Now I cant even use it I hope it gets fixed     Pixel errors

Crashes locks up closes all the time Just a shell to get you to pay for a subscription Gives you 3 or 4 lines then states you need to pay for the rest if the story     Not worth the time

The content of this app is the text of the Journal Sentinel and is reproduced here well The app crashes quite a bit and sometimes pulls up articles other than the ones chosen You can spare yourself the frustration by just using your favorite browser to surf the web site 15 for delivering an app that is less useful than the site its trying to replicate     Content very good app crashes a lot

Was hoping this would be a good replacement for the paper and its delivery issues but Im just trading one set of issues for another Usually works but can be buggy and crashes occasionally Ex list of obituary notices showed all for a while but now only lists one item If tech support was more responsive this would get 2 more stars Missing some regular features from actual paper ex funny updown list from Sports section        Ok but buggy

I have had nothing but crashes with this app I only want the paper for the sports coverage but the e version is often inaccessible     Hate it

Previous version was miles ahead of this garbage 20 article limit then you have to payOr you can just delete the app reinstall and youll get 20 more articles So in conclusion this App is free You just have to delete and reinstall when you hit your article limit of 20     Worst app ever

I would really appreciate if you could make the weather temperature automatically update I am sick of it not updating and giving me the wrong temperature and weather conditions Otherwise your app is 5 stars                 Weather Widget

Awful Pixel popups are annoying and the site crashes This issue has been a problem for many months It is 100 useless and a time waster Dont bother As a 30 year subscriber to the paper I contacted them about the problem JS customer service did email and stated that the problem seems to happen when the wireless signal is weak That is a weak excuse since other applications dont crash In other words there is either no sense of urgency to fix the problem on their part or they dont care or they dont know how to fix the problem     Awful

until the pixel pop ups started Now each time you scroll the page or open a story the pixel page pops up Very annoying FIX IT     Was a good app

The app seems to work well for the first 20 articles That is all the liberalslanted JSO rag allows per month without buying a subscription However at the beginning of each month you are allowed another 20 articles but this app never resets itself like the cookies on your computer do so youll have to delete and then reload the app each month Other than that the app works well           Only good for first 20 articles

If you thought their website was terrible well you were right So try the app right As others have noted the app doesnt work at all JSonline just doesnt get it This isnt even deserving of one star     Pathetic

The Pixel popups are beyond annoying What makes it completely unacceptable is that I pay a monthly subscription fee for JS and then get hit with this garbage Not an enticing way to get me to renew my subscription     Popups are great for driving away customers

First off this is officially my new favorite way to read the Journal Sentinel There are some kinks that nag at me some mornings though A lot of secondary content comics crossword is missing from the iPhone edition which wasnt clear from the app description The iPad version can be a bit clunky to navigate which Im beginning to suspect is just a given for news apps The iPhone version is very easy to use Finally theres no clear distinction between todays news and yesterdays news which becomes a minor but constant annoyance for a daily reader like me           Good with a few kinks

Why does it say the temperature is 16 when it is really 64 here        Can it be trusted

I use Safari to read the JournalSentinel I am a paid subscriber The iPad App only lets you view a partial version of the paper Safari and Adobe Acrobat allows you to read the entire paper but is clunky to use        Very Limited Version

There are a lot of bugs Most frequent issue is tapping an article and the same article keeps coming up instead of the one selected        Bugs

No blogs like on the iPhone version Junk     Mr

I have deleted and downloaded this app numerous times as per the suggestion of the app developer only to have it crash a day or two later This app is a total waste of time and money and more frustrating than its worth News is usually old and bias Your better off with a local TV app News will be current and the app actually works     App does not work

Every time I try to update my push notifications I keep getting a error message PLEASE FIX notifications is the best reminder for me to check the daily news If that doesnt work its almost useless     PUSH NOTIFICATIONS NOT WORKING

Unfortunately the recent update breaks the app completely on my Iphone 6 Plus I no longer can see any articles     November 2014 Update Broke App

No longer opens for me Some pixel pop up come up and the app crashes This isnt the first time this has stopped working and I have lost patience Find another source for news this isnt dependable     Once again broken

Horrible new app Forget the terrible idea to start a subscription service and just look at the functionality of the app The online web version which you can bookmark and the just delete your cookies when you reach 15 articles works much more efficiently On the app you dont even get all of the sports stories in one place One star app without a subscription service Wish I could give it no stars because of it Terrible execution     Disappointed
