This app is terrible and a major waste of 999 This is not a portfolio app honestly it is a joke Buyer Beware I would never recommend this app to anyone wanting to showcase their hard work MINUS 5 Stars     Absolutely the worst

Fluid simple layout that allows one to display pics and videos in a classy and professional fashion Adding a simple description overlay would be a cool feature for a future version                 Spot on for showing off images and videos

simple clean elegant easy to create multiple portfolios or galleries of my work and viewers can easily navigate through everything with no problems I especially like the swipe up down option in addition to the standard left right it allows me to give viewers more context indepth info about each piece sketches videos zoomed in details                 great portfolio for artists

Ive been trying to upload my pictures to this app for two days now Every Time I try to upload one the app crashes Wish I had my back     Wont upload my photos

This app is not fancy nor does it have bells and whistles it is very clean and intuitive I had my portfolio up and running in less than 10 minutes              Great App

This is by far the best portfolio app on the market I only wish that while zoomed into a stack a pinch would draw it back to the overall gallery view Its a little cumbersome to have to click the button on the top left corner Other than that its perfect              The best portfolio app

Installed the app and immediately had a malfunctioning iPad app icons were ghosting nonresponsive unusable on all screens The minimal folio app did launch but the rest of the pad was pretty much unuseable Problems occurred immediately after installation and went away immediately after removal reboot Otherwise the play was good     Does not work with iPad 1 ios5

This app seems very nice but why do I have to share my location I dont want to tuen on location services I never use it on my iPad and iPhone if its not switched on it does not work this seems unfair to me The app is cheap and well designed please change the location problem and I would give it 5 stars           good app shame about having to share location

Theres a bug is the program Photos seem to mysteriously disappear and replaced with black when you try to rearrange the order        Bug

This a very useful app for presenting your content Not only you can make nice JPG galleries but videos and PDFs We use it to present all our sales literature This is the only app I have found to implement both horizontal and vertical navigation very similar to the magazines like Wired implementations on iPad All the editing and administration can be disabled This is a huge idea Nothing can be changed or edited when presenting to a client No editing menus to get in the way in the middle of a sales pitch something I always found annoying with Keynote presentations You can actually hand the device to the customer without fear The synchronization with DropBox our de facto standard for file transfer to the iPad is a fundamental feature On the down side the DropBox synchronization is rather slow It also fails when a new folder or folio is created Occasionally the application crashes when uploading pictures from the iPad Once your pictures and content get into the application I have not experienced any problem Since I find the application son useful I am willing to accept these bugs I really hope the developer can fix them soon                 Very useful app Horizontal and vertical navigation

This is a horrible app Hard to scroll through get to the menu only does one thing Auto formatted my pictures and made them look terrible and pictures is the only thing it does Complete waste of my time and money Cant customize anything load from dropbox display mode is useless Whole app is useless Just use the slideshow setting on your ipad I want a refund     I want a refund

The concept is simple and elegant However I am having consistent crashes on import of even single photos Putting delete under the share menu option makes no sense Lastly it needs a watermark caption and title slide capability It has real potential but that potential hasnt been developed        Good concept Crashes on import

If you are looking for a portfolio app that is clean and easy to use it doesnt get much better than this I bought the iPhone version of this app years ago which worked great but has since been taken down When I got an iPad and bought this version it took a bit of time but everything synced perfectly from the iPhone version Overall this app looks and performs great I highly recommend it                 A Great Portfolio App

Love this app Bought it over a year ago and still works great on my iPad 1 running 501 My favorite setup is to use the HDMI adapter to hook to a large HD monitor The app doesnt display until you go into view mode When you minimize the images the app maintains a full screen image of the last imagescreen Switch from MinFoilio to Keynote and you screen will continue to show your last MinFolio screen until you hit play in Keynote then switch back using the home button double tap This app rocks I walk into a meeting carrying nothing but my iPad and adapter                 Great presentation app

This is more of a photo album than portfolio No functionality beyond swipe left right up and down I want my 3 bucks back     Only for very beginner

This app is the presentation engine our entire team works from All my international distributors now use it and Dropbox provide a fantastic content distribution tool Everyone that watches me use immediately sees functionality for their industries that have no similarity to ours I dont know what the naysayers are trying to do but I cant believe MF cant do it As regards to image quality start with good quality content Those people may be too young to remember garbage in garbage out                 Business Perfection

The portfolio looks great after you get it right The problem is with the ipad synching Proper synching would look for the most recent version and put that in place What happened for me is I loaded some folders into dropbox in the minimalfolio folder Synched within the app and they loaded up So far so good Some of the photos were too large to display within the app however so i went to the images in dropbox resized in photoshop and saved Then in the app i re synched Voila all the old images on the ipad overwrote the dropbox images I then thought I would delete the items in the app and replace the images in dropbox as I had when I started This time when I synched with dropbox the app deleted my dropbox files This seems totally wrong A synch should use the newest version of the named file No idea if I will get it working in time for a presentation But all in I have to say for a new buyer it is too much trouble        Some big problems but it looks ok after some struggle

I had been using PDFs displayed via iBooks to show my work on an iPad 1 but swiping through pages did not work well at all and of course theres no good way to show videos in a PDF Minimal Folio saved the day Both the images and videos encoded using an AppleTV preset in Adobe Media Encoder look great and play without a hitch Take one look at the authors website and I think youll understand why this guy is uniquely qualified to make an app like this and why it works so well The only area for improvement would be a slightly more detailed getting started type of thing but this app is highly intuitive so its not a big deal                 Exactly what I was looking for

This app has a nice elegant layout and interface BUT images zoomed out to fit the screen like when you first open an image and the way you typically view images are blurry You can easily compare the effect to another app like GoodReader which shows tack sharp images upon opening them The iPads photo app also shows tack sharp images but only if they are sized to the iPads display resolution or if larger only after zooming in and then zooming back out something Ive complained to Apple about I mention that so the developer and users can compare and see the difference for themselves The best example of what I am talking about is comparing to GoodReader Keep in mind that when I say blurry I mean an obvious lack of tack and original sharpness of the image Novices may not even notice the difference but anyone seriously into photography will see the difference and find this defect in this app unacceptable and therefore making the app unusable Whats the point in showing people your pictures on an app that softensblurs images I would recommend this app if this defect were corrected Finally the app continually crashes upon image import within the IPad Another fatal flaw Please test your apps before releasing them I wasted 3 and time on a flawed app that otherwise could have have been fantastic     Blurry fullscreen images and crashes on import

I have only played with this for a few minutes but it is very nice One thing that was confusing at first was that when I tried to import some RAW photos that were taken on my Nikon then imported to the ipad with the SD dongle of the camera connection kit the app crashed Raw photos are not listed as a supported file format and that seems like a good decision by the developer but it would be less confusing if the app displayed an error message rather than crashing since the user cannot tell what format the photos are while browsing the camera roll Other than that this seems like a great tool for showing off photos and I look forward to exploring it more              Very nice so far

wonderful This app got so much better with updates have not used it in a while and am very pleased how far this has come The Dropbox sync with the master upload masterdownload options makes selecting and editing a portfolio on a computer fast and easy to transfer to the ipad Love the fact that no syncing through itunes is necessary Big compliment to the developpers                 sooo good

I used this app to arrange my portfolio for a job interview When I reopened the app it rearranged all my items Dont buy this crap     Horrible

Wow so easy and so simple to use a toddler could figure it out I personally prefer dragging files via iTunes directly from my computer and yes just accept the location services since otherwise you wont be able to get access to your photos It did crash once but last night when I used it at Portfolio Night speed dating with Creative Directors it worked flawlessly and both CDs and students alike asked how I was presenting my portfolio Mind you I was able to get my portfolio on here in a matter of a few hours right before presentation from downloading the app learning how to use it to actually using it in a creative interviewmentoring setting so goes to show how easy this thing is Could it be improved Sure I think being able to name each column would be neat Possibly color each column too although that might detract from the minimalism Again minor gripes and as is best portfolio presentation app out there bar none Kudos for using Futura as well                 Saved my life at Portfolio Night 11 Boston

This app is easy to use and is wonderful to have to present your work quickly to someone through syncing to Dropbox If you dont want all of your files to sync then make a separate account on Dropbox specifically for this app It may seem inconvienient but actually works best to keep you organized                 Cheap and worth it

This app can only be useful as a presentation tool if it is 100 reliable and glitch free It is not Like other users who have reviewed here I too have experienced the phantom all black nonslide the mysterious rearrangement and disappearance of my slides and Its a bummer I cant use this for showing my work to clients unless I know it is going to work correctly every time It does not Let me know when you fix it     Unreliable

The interface is so unobtrusive and well thoughtout I love this appit gets out of the way and lets your work do the talking My only complaint is that sometimes its a bit slow to render the images so theres a bit of interlacing on larger images for a moment                 Just about perfect
