I have a Lowrance chart plotter and purchased a Navonics map for about 100 which works great I downloaded this as a companion app for my iPad to plan fishing trips But at 55 a year it s just not worth it What a joke The app is worthless without paying a subscription fee every year because the government chart shows no depth at all I have better luck downloading a real Government chart in PDF format from the MN DNR website I am removing this app and will never buy another Navonics map as long as I live They have got way to greedy     Useless as a companion app Mongo Johnson

Initially this app looks great but after messing around with it I found some serious bugs wit map setup The shallow setting that shades the depth below your set safe draft was the main reason I looked at this app and it is highly buggy I set it to 1 foot and I clearly see sections that are 2 or even 3 feet deep shaded as too shallow I tried zooming in super close to no avail There is even a block of an area north of key west where the shading does not fill at all no matter what you set it at Great potential but too buggy             Nice but Ze Shrike

Downloaded ok Charts looked real good on IPAD Biggest issue was that when went to Course Up option all the words on the chart were upside down as if the chart was stuck in a North Up orientation This was very confusing while trying to navigate the Tennessee River If that were fixed then I d buy         Free trial apachedave

Nice try but requiring 2 licenses 1 for iPad HD and another full price for iPhone standard resolution is simply not cool So if you want on more than 1 device iPhone and iPad AND only want to pay 1 license you ll need to NOT get this HD version The HD version is nice BUT your purchase will not work for iPhone If you Purchase the standard for the iPhone and use it on your HD iPad s you can use it BUT you WILL REGRET IT becuase the resolution is so poor Only solution is getting 2 licenses And thats why I give this app 1 star     Limited functionality requires 2 licenses IslandDogPNW

I used this app for the trial week worked great I used it a week before my trip work great I used it the day of my trip worked great On a sail from Panama to Florida as soon as I got offshore no position info for the next 12 days even after connecting to Wifi in the Caymans I tried 3 Bluetooth GPS s along with the internal one Good thing I was only using it as a backup Requesting a refund     Do not count on this App L104ever

You do NOT need wifi for this to work However only iPads with cellular service have GPS The cell service doesn t need to be connected either you just need the iPad that has it Wifi only models have no GPS Knowing this and if you have a compatible iPad you will love this app 5 stars                     Works great Mgk3961

Early versions of this app were stable and useful I could plan routes and upload to my Raymarine chartplotter wirelessly For some reason Navionics decided to upgrade the app and removed the ability to upload routes and now the current version crashes on my iPad 2 so regularly that it is completely useless for any reason Continual requests to make the older stable version available go unheeded from Navionics Classic case of good software gone bad     Expensive and crashes continuously Ric8138

I purchased this app after seeing the free version the idea is great and the charts are wonderful But I wanted it to track and find me on the water Even if it s the canal behind my house or less than a 1 4 mile off shore I wrote to Navionics in hopes of a refund or a fix Waiting for service After some research I found a gps unit called the Bad Elf pro 2000 It connects to the iPad via Bluetooth Now this app work awesome Also I purchased sonarphone I will see how that works along this app So far I think this is worth the money after learning you need hardware to go with it                 Works great Bettsdesigns

They ve fixed the bug that was preventing opening This app doesn t have many features as compared to something like iNavx which is very complete but the Navionics interface is so easy to use and it s so easy to make and modify routes that despite the lack of other features it is still very good If they added some capabilities like import export routes or the ability to receive other sorts of data like AIS for instance this app would be far superior to anything else If you don t need all the other features this is a good choice                 Fixed dmi7b5

This had been my favorite app until this update The screen is massively cluttered with large circles for waypoints there is not an easy undo it is difficult to see where you are because there are too many things cluttering the screen and once you select a setting it is unclear how to deselect it and there is no starting over Hate this upgrade sorry I spent the money     Disappointed 5knots
