I ve been to a Church where they spent a lot of money on their 2 camera Video setup and the cabling from the video switcher to the Cameras must have cost a pretty penny not alone the delay response from the long cable run the Video seem to be sluggish This App is Awesome I m using an I phone 5 an iPhone 5s an iPhone 6 Plus an iPhone 6s along with my iPad 3 as the Video Switcher also my Netgear wireless Router So far it works Great at the Church no cables other than powering up the iPhones and I also paid the 3 extra bucks for the Video image overlay App on the iPad so I can fade the Pastor s name in and out also dub pictures of Bible verses The only thing that can improve is the wait time for viewing the Project when you are finished the App collects the Video footage from all 4 iPhones to the iPad and then compiles it all together it can take about 40 minutes or longer And all iPhones have to stay on till it transfers all of the Video files to the iPad I don t have a problem waiting for it to finish Members of the Church want to see it in a hurry and can t wait I m working on a way it can record directly to a Laptop for quick viewing and to burn it to DVD I would like to burn it on Blue ray but most of the Members prefer DVD                     Portable Television Station in High Def for a Very Cheap Price Jamstreet beat

This app is wonderful It s a really clever idea I m able to use my old iPhone combined with my new iPhone to make great videos with multiple angles and microphones all while controlling the whole thing with my iPad I don t even use the capability for combining the videos together it s useful enough just as a remote control for all of the cameras The only complaint I have is that it hasn t been updated for a long time so it doesn t support 4K video This app should really be updated to take advantage of capabilities of newer devices If it was kept up to date it would easily be a 5 star app                 Amazing idea dougg3

Been using this app for a couple of years now and I still love it As one reviewer put it we re not talking jumbo tron HD work here but for the price compared to 1500 HD switcher a final video record device and the ability to control 4 iOS device cameras LOVE IT not to tell the developer what to do but I would have gladly paid a lot more for this app it s that good Oh and it looks pretty freakin good as well Add in the ability on a per iOS device to manually control the zoom focus and white balance and you have a solid winner here The only missing feature in my opinion is a giant TAKE button seems like a no brainer IMHO rather than the preview live text under the preview screen big fingers may have a tough time hitting it right I mostly use the app to do live switched music concerts in small venues and it rocks at that application I have a iPhone 6 and an old iPhone 5 and then went and picked up a couple of iPod Touch 5th Gen units to fill out my four cameras I use my new iPad Pro 12 9 as the master switcher I HIGHLY recommend that you have a dedicated WiFi router for your MultiCam rig You don t want to be sharing wireless with other folks doing other online stuff There s just not enough bandwidth But a little 15 router doesn t need to be connected to anything you re just using it so the cameras phones can talk to the master switcher on the iPad gives you your own private wireless network You also want to use this dedicated router when you re trying to render your final video so it doesn t have to fight with other users when it s pulling the video from the cameras phones I also set up a 5th camera as a dedicated wide shot that just shoots the whole time I m running the multicam app This gives me the ability to cover any mistakes I might have made in the live switch since there is no way to re edit the master EDL One thing to remember is that you need approximately 3GB storage per hour of video and the video is stored on the cameras themselves until done shooting where the master in this case my iPad Pro 12 9 pulls all video together and generates the final switched video If the RecoLive website isn t clear about it you are NOT actually switching the video in realtime the master device is merely storing an EDL edit decision list What you re seeing during the live switch is a lo rez feed of each camera The HD switched video is compiled AFTER you re done shooting the video think of it as rendering the video if that helps with this concept In theory you can use a iPhone as the master device switcher but in practice you really need an iPad to properly see and control the camera feeds So that means you need enough empty memory on each iOS device as well as the master device to hold the video for each iOS device I recommend 32GB devices so you don t run out of memory in the middle of a long run shoot Also great for recording little talking head interview type of applications or little Charlie s school play I use it for YouTube reviews and live music concerts The ability to also link in graphics from my mac makes this a solid can do My ONLY complaint is that the documentation for this app is almost non existent a series of video tutorials gives you a pretty good overview of how to use the app but it would be nice to have access to a PDF manual so you can really take advantage of this powerful app without having to hunt and experiment A camera setup shoot to output how to would be a great place to start the videos show you how to do the shoot but stops short of actually showing you the final steps to output the video But this is a minor quibble given how incredible the app is oh and did I mention that it only costs 5                     I STILL FREAKIN LOVE THIS APP LBSound

Works as stated Needs update to bring full clarity and resolution for newer devices My iPhone 5s rear camera looks better than my iPhone 7plus rear camera in this software Not sure why Would love to be able to control from my MacBook Pro Continue to use my iPad Pro as controller for now Output to streaming service like YouTube or others would be great improvement Not clear what Pro upgrade adds                 Love it Could use an update Digmax

I have very rarely if ever given a 5 star rating but wanted to take the time to do so for this app First the app works as advertised Recording from multiple devices while allowing live compliation of a mixed track is pretty sophisticated stuff but RecoLIve has made a clean and very usable interface to make it manageable for even beginers to use I would definately recommend creating some tests before you capture your final video as you will want to make sure you know not only how to record but also how to retrieve your recording This isn t a criticism of the software but simply some good advice for those just getting started The other highlight for me is that each of the cameras records up to 1080 HD on to that device allowing me not only to get the combined video but also retrieve the original footage from each device and do my own editing While I felt this was a great app what I really appreciated was the support They were very quick to respond provided excellent answers even when what I wanted to do wasn t yet supported they were clear about what it does do and what options I had I have worked with a lot of software and computer companies and this one really stands out as one that cares Thanks again for creating a great app at an afordable price and providing some of the best support I have seen                     Wonderful support NetEeyore

Let me start my saying I think this is an awesome app I ve ran my iPad Air as a camera and a switcher while controlling 3 iPhones an iPhone 4 and iPhone 5s and an iPhone 5c It worked flawlessly I only shot 2 minutes I have yet to try a longer video But for what I tested it worked great While recording one take you can preview your next camera and Zoom in or out to frame you shot and the included transitions are excellent as well I went ahead and spent the extra 3 and purchased the ability to add images or overlays and that works great also I had some logos I had designed already with transparency and they looked great The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I think it should include Facebook live streaming I know they have another app for that but it s with a subscription and I hate that subscription nonsense I rather do my recording and then post to social media I use Facebook live a lot but I cannot afford to spend a lot of money on it as I was looking for an alternative to a MEVO camera I stumble upon this app I think is great I recommend it it is word the 5 or 8 bucks the ability to switch between 4 cameras and add graphics on the fly All from an iPad that s amazing Add the ability to stream live at least as an in app purchase I would pay 20 or 30 don t make it a subscription add that feature and you would have a lot of more people buying the app and more reviews with 5 starts thanks for a great app                 So far so good EDGABA

I really like this app It us room for a few improvements but overall seems to work as advertised I haves experienced any lag or anything the transitions are cool If I wish the developers would provide an option to record on a selected device reason being I have several older iOS devices and 1 newer larger 1 with much more storage The app records video on each individual device so my older devices can t really record much video at all Change that feature and it s a 5 star app I m sure I could come up with other change ideas like lower thirds built in but it us ability to cut to a graphic so it s ok A graphic overlay would be great though All in all not bad With the                 I like it Works as advertised sgranlund

I was looking for an app that would replace Fly particularly regarding the multi cam feature which for some reason is no longer part of the program This app is is simply clunky and frustrating We were never able to bring video from one phone to another There were no instructions to be found We ve requested a refund The search continues     Just Doesn t DrToons

I ve been using this app in combination with tripod mounted cameras to video a seven day bluegrass festival Had an iPhone 6 mounted to get a downward side view of the stage and band playing Used an iPad to control the iPhone I only used the iPhone feed so I turned off the iPad feed Also used a wireless router as the access point The app worked great and gave the final product a nice look I have used it with two iPhones and an iPad It s easy to use and makes for fun videos                     Useful tool MikenCalera

I was a bit wary of buying this app at first for the one reason it seemed too good to be true Everything this promised to do for 5 No way I m better off taking that 5 to Starbucks then wasting it here on an app that won t work But in the middle of the night when my good decision making skills are down I decided to buy it Let me tell you all of my concerns were unnecessary This app truly delivers I tried I d out yesterday having gotten my hands on a variety of devices although I had nothing to film when I wanted to test it isn t that always the case My devices were an iPhone 5s iPhone 4 iPad mini v3 and iPad retina v4 Let me start off with a very important point The current version of the app will only work on iOS 8 and the iPhone 4 only goes to 7 When trying to download it I was prompted to download an earlier version that was compatible with iOS 7 It installed connected and worked without a problem although the camera wasn t as great it s awesome to know you can still use it The connection was extremely simple and none of the devices disconnected during the entire test I watched the video tutorial on getting better sound using a mixer and splitter cable but I had recently purchased the iRig HD and wanted to see if by some miracle that would work for audio allowing for a truly battery operated recording session Hallelujah It worked I was able to plug in my condenser mic to the iRig HD using its phantom power into one of the devices choosing that as its audio source and placing the mic where I d like ending up with a completely portable system with superior sound The transitions worked well between the video although it took a minute to figure out the controls the video tutorial left much to the imagination One thing to note is the video files are saved first to each device then sent to the control device after the recording has stopped This is important for both battery and time as multiple gigs being transferred from multiple devices can take some serious time I only did a 90 second test and it took 6 minutes for everything to transfer while only 5 feet from the router I understand the technology and why it has to be this way but it s a warning that you need to prepare your time appropriately The only thing I found lacking in is system is the ability to chroma key use a green screen Since there isn t an export option that works for Adobe Premiere or Final Cut having it in app is extremely important If the app could do that it would be indeed a complete solution and deserve 5 stars Without it it s great for specific applications or as a novelty The technology is great though and these guys nailed it Hopefully with a future update we ll see the chroma key and an actual manual Still it s very worth the 5 PROS Use a variety of devices Support for iRig HD for superior sound easy connectivity easy to use great interface CONS Instructions consist of 3 quasi informative tutorials minimal almost none support no option for green screen Summary Worth every penny Add green screen support and not only will I bump up my review to 5 stars I ll be singing your praises from the mountain tops to every videographer interviewer church and blog I know which is a very large number Be repaired to figure it out on your own though Looking forward to future updates                 Near perfect silvertooth

This app fails miserably every time I try it Using an iPad 4 as the switcher and two iPhone 5s as cameras the app APPEARS to work great while recording video and switching angles but it is an illusion When I go to compile all the camera angles into a composition the switcher iPad claims that it can t find the other camera angles and the recorded footage is nowhere to be found on one of the iPhones In other words I do not end up with a nicely switched multi angle video The app can t even find the footage filmed on the switcher device the iPad I used as the master device I d have been much better off using the native camera app and deleting this app off all my devices     Epic Fail Imaginizer

This is a brilliant app with amazing potential in multi cam situations Paired with the Galileo mount it could be used to create a modest television studio or remote facility at a reasonable cost BUT there s no support from either REcoLive or Galileo so you re on your own to solve problems There s also no documentation I can find for the rich feature set built into the app I d like someday to be able to give it a five star rating             Not much support DigiMoll

I ve only had a chance to experiment with RecoLive MultiCam for a few minutes but I m already very happy because I can finally control the recording and movement of my iPhone 5s while docked in it s Bluetooth Galileo from Motrr I did notice that you have to say yes on the remote device when RecoLive asks if it can take over control of the camera I set it to Auto so it will work without my input next time Perhaps this was the case with Mpgjon s inability to control his Galileo device This is the first app other than Sphere which has worked properly for me with the Galileo device Thanks RecoLive I ve got to go record my band at a club date before we re too old for anybody to care                     Bluetooth Galileo Finally Works as a Remote Video Camera PeperTunes

This is actually a pretty cool idea of an app the live switching of iOS cameras on your wifi network The reality of it however isn t quite there First the live feeds over wifi are incredibly inconsistent in quality freezing often and secondly and more important to me is that the integration with Galileo robotic motion control mount simply does not work Can t say it s an overall win         Nice switching but Galileo support is buggy Mpgjon

This app has its limitations but it works as advertised and does it well I initially had some trouble setting it up but it worked fine after I made sure all the devices were on the same network Postprocessing result looked flawless but took a little time to do this may just be the limits of my wifi iPad mini processing speed it took about 40 minutes to composite at 20 minute program I used this in conjunction with the Recolive capture app on the Mac to capture a keynote presentation worked perfectly when the resolution was set to 1920x1080 as recommended by the developer I can definitely recommend this app                     Works as advertised DanShewy

I found this app to be very useful recently while shooting a video in which I wanted to use multiple camera angles and picture in picture Setup was straightforward and I had 2 iPhones sending video to my iPad in no time The mixer interface seemed very user friendly and adjusting the PIP appearance was simple but still flexible There are a couple of additions I d love to see that would make this app even better Options to select between front and back cameras and turn on flash even better if these could be remotely controlled from the mixer device Ability to post mix clips after shooting import clips from multiple devices and then mix with the clips as sources rather than live cameras Companion mixer app for Mac OS using iOS device as mixer is great but the limited capacity of these devices can be restrictive when trying to capture import multiple streams of HD video All in all a great app for the price and would only be made more useful if the features above were added                 Great Start with room for improvement Jonny Dex
