This has always been an interesting app Its extremely easy to use and yet it has some flexibility to quickly get different rhythms and sounds The most important thing is that it sounds great It really needed AB so this was an essential update                 Thanks for AudioBus

The best rock drum machine out there With audiobus and song mode this is my go to drum machine to get a song going right away No messing around trying to figure out how to record a drum track which is by far the hardest track to record as a non drummer guitar player So if this is you get it now and rock on                 A pro sounding drum track in minutes not hours

This app has the beat collection of preprogrammed acoustic drum patterns on iOS coupled with the ability to tweak them and change kitsstyles Only Drum Beats rivals its library AudioBus compatibility is rumored to be coming and if it does its 5 stars and one of the best drum apps period But as it stands all of this great content is locked within the app itself UPDATE The developer added AudioBus and IAA compatibility He also responded on a popular online forum I would like to see additional troubleshooting for the minibuttons in AB and IAA which do not always appear but this suddenly catapults into an excellent and useful app                 GREAT for rock now with ABIAA

This is a great app Lots of different types of beats and easy to experiment and save your own custom patterns I was missing this after upgrading to iOS 8 so nice to have it back in my music arsenal now Great job                 Thanks for the fix

As the buyer of 20 drumbeat apps but the owner of an iPad which only now has two or three on it this is one of the best Great that it fills the space for Rock Simple to use easy to get going with and with a developer whos got his eye on the ball and his ear to the ground which means hes updating things and is listening to users                 Superior

needs some straight forward drum beat patterns without all the tomtoms        beats

This is the app Ive spent years looking for on the app store one with great samples and programmable tracks that you can use straight out of the box Its as close to Drum Kit From Hell as you can get on iOS So very happy I found this its like finding a unicorn                 I found it

Since the 802 update the program misbehaves Sounds are scratchy and program is very crash prone It will be corrected Im sure but for now watch out I use this on my iPad as well as my iPhone 4S Both are same I dont think it is related to audiobus because I have it on my pad and not on my phone and Rock DM is same on both This drum machine is in my opinion one of the best so I hope it is fied soon           Broken

Developer somehow deleted my previous review Not very happy about that Ad bar shows when launched with audiobus Take the ad code out of the paid version please Also program crashed when I tried to create a groove Please fix and I will raise my rating        Bugs when used with iPad Air 2 and audiobus

Everything from the samples to the amazing jamming function sound great Some of the improvised fill combinations it does are really cool Well worth the money and more                 Incredible for an iPad app

this app continues to just blow my mind it is the perfect companion to anyone trying to practice that really doesnt like using metronome not top of that and going to jam owed absolutely kick butt app could live without it                 The best just keeps getting better

This isnt exactly what I want but its good in what it does which is provide nice drum patterns and is very simple to use I dont create patterns so I cant comment on that I just want something to use for drum tracks to play guitar or jam with friends with In its current state its limited because it doesnt have complete tracks or fills available What I would like to see is the ability to create a track of a certain number of bars that can then be looped so it plays continuously So for example a 12 bar blues would need a way to add bars of a drum track then half or whole bar fills for the changes If this program had that capability I would be completely satisfied with it There is another drum program by Ninebuzz called Drum Beats that is similar to this program in that it is very simple and has basic drum patterns of a couple bars That is decent too but Rock DM sounds better to me Whichever one implements the capability to create tracks will rule the drum machine program wars        Could be the best with a couple additions

Sounds great very easy to use for me its only downfall is its missing a MIDI clock sync              Almost Perfect

I bought this after seeing the blurb that it was getting Audiobus Would love to use this app but its just a dust collector since it cant work with a DAW without Audiobus        When is it getting Audiobus

The previous version worked best I really liked the random groove creator but now it no longer works If you create a groove all you get is an occasional drum pad beat The fills still work but the core beat is not useable Fix that and it will be the perfect jam drum machine Add the ability to use your own drum samples to make it the best on the market           This version took a step backward

Great easy to use drum machine Needs additional pattern to add cymbals toms and other percussion FX Cymbal flares and muted stops would be good too The latest update eliminated my ability to add beats to a section by using the hold and drag method The pattern becomes muted or deleted altogether Please fix this           Additions and fixes

The last update sent this right to the top of the heap It is no wonder that most of my IOS musician friends have so much good to say about this app I want to thank the developer for listening to his users comments and giving us more of what we musicians ask for on a routine basis The auto fills and added Toms were great Song mode is simply brilliant and it works flawlessly on my Air 1 Keep on Rockin If you want rock drums you need this app                 The best rock drum app by far

Luis Martinez has done an amazing job with this app The sounds are tailored for rock and heavy rock and it does not require a big learning curve at all to get a drum track going in minutes The Song Mode lets you put a track together very quickly and you can also tweak all the sounds and parts yourself if you want I want to be able to put together a drum track immediately so that I can get on with recording the song I dont want to spend my time programming or trying to figure that part out and Rock Drum Machine is the solution Included in the Bank section are various sound styles like Rock Grunge FunkRock Shuffle Progressive Odd Times etc Associated with each of these styles are grooves related to that style and each has a specific SoundSet The SoundSets can be linked to the Grooves or not and you can edit the components in each SoundSet You can also modify each groove by clicking the Groove button and choosing from the options laid out there or click Edit to fully modify the pattern yourself You also have a mixer button to change the levels of each drum in the pattern The new Song Mode rocks completely Click the symbol on the left to create a new song and then on the right side choose from preset patterns or patterns that you have created for each song section Click the sign on the right to add patterns You can now add cymbal crashes at the start of each pattern using the cymbal icons on each pattern line You can specify how many bars for the pattern the Jam level how much the drummer varies the pattern and also to add a fill to the end of the pattern to transition to the next When adding a recurring pattern Luis has now added a percent indicator on the Jam Intensity line so that each time the pattern reoccurs you can set it exactly the same He has also added a Count option to set the countin for the song These latest updates that have been added make this an musthave app I am not associated with the developer in any way I am just a guitar player who was looking for a solution to getting quick greatsounding drum tracks and came across this app so my take on Rock Drum Machine is the real deal Totally killer and highly recommended                 Rock Drum Machine Rocks

I loved this app before but this update puts it over the top The random functions and the full setting gives endless beats for jamming with                 AWESOME update

This app works not at all in 802 You get one snare hit then non responsive Or it plays with the audio completely mangled by digital noise     Needs update
