I got this app because there is a song I am wanting to play on the piano but there is no sheet music in existence so I bit the bullet and bought this in hopes I could Hum the melody and try to make it work This concept is really neat and I admit it is helping me hear those notes that I need to hear to get the music down however there are a lot of flaws that make it not as dependable as I d hoped First why did I pay 2 for it and can only have 10 songs Isn t the point of buying an app so you can have full access to it I mean I know I can delete stuff but I found it weird Especially since this has so many flaws why pay more when I don t even know if it ll be worth it in the future Second I wish there was a way to add to the song It s like you have to have the song perfect In order for it to work otherwise you have to make a bunch of different recordings you only get 10 and then memorize it and add them together If I could add onto what I am already doing it would make it so much easier Also when I am editing the notes are so small that it s hard to push The app doesn t recognize if you play multiple notes together It ll only recognize it at a single note which is irritating as can be If I am playing a D and an F I want to hear what it sounds like together and that s really unfortunate but I get it it s still new but I hope this is updated in the future I have trouble trying to get the bass in with the right hand piano person here it would be nice if you could add in a base line to add in the notes but it ll only register it at one hand at a time If I could get it to register chords and even to add in a bass line and manually add in the notes even though I know it d take forever this would be so much more fun Over all I have high hopes for what the app will offer in the future and right now for what I am doing it is semi helpful but definitely not something that ll give you instant results like you need Will update in the future if stuff is fixed Really neat concept with a ton of potential smeickhoff

A real waste of 2 dollars I ignored all the reviews and thought I d check it out but really should have listened It can t even correctly identify the key I m playing in much less correctly dictate the notes You also only get 10 tries before you have to pay for an upgrade which I might understand if the app was free but I m already paying to use it you should get more than that It doesn t work ffhhvxsgjgxcn
This is a total waste It s extremely difficult to log on I had to delete the app and re try several times When I finally did get on the program is worthless It does record what you harm into it And plays it back medium faithfully But the musical notation doesn t even come close to matching what you input Much much better to simply hum into a recorder and transcribe what you hummed Great idea When somebody finally perfects it I ll buy it But this is totally worthless Just Doesn t Even Try to Do the Job MichaelTheSaxist

Sure it only gets about 80 of notes and rhythms but just the fact that it can do this on a mobile device is awesome With this app Ive been scoring music everywhere at church restroom even in my car I love the fact that you can download the midi file from your Pc I cant wait until its able to create an XML file Once you get a simple melody on this app you can open up the midi or XML file on Finale or Sibelius and really polish and embellish your melodies Those who give this negative reviews are just unresourceful and lazy The app is a tool dont expect it to do all the work for you Absolutely Incredible
This looks like it has the potential to be a decent app but its core functionality that of pitch analysis and resolution is only moderately reliableaccurate Recording a whistled then singing a simple melody resulted in an approximate average of 23 of the notes being captured close to accurate and the other 13 wildly and randomly nowhere near the mark Perhaps using this with a pitchperfect instrument like a piano yields more reliable results but using this as a mobile idea pad for capturing and transcribing musical inspiration on the go where this would seem most useful it falls short and becomes frustrating and unreliable Keep at it this app does seem to have potential Nice idea mediocre execution

I think the app is pretty neat and for 99 your not losing much I tested single note melodies as it suggested and it was completely accurate I wish you could record for the bass and treble cleft then merge the sheet music together That would make this an outstanding app Its good for what it does
I have to assume other reviewers had the wrong expectations when they downloaded this app No it will not magically transform an existing song into sheet music but it will save you a LOT of time when writing sheet music yourself It can only take one note at a time no chords or harmonies and its best to record in small chunks so the analysis doesnt take too long but it will automatically detect your key and time signature and if you singplay the pitches and rhythms accurately it works very well It had no trouble with triplets or accidentals It got confused when I tried singing particularly complicated Sondheim melodies but if it gets something wrong its possible to edit I highly recommend getting this app It wont do the work for you but its very helpful Worth getting Great time saver
This is the real deal as good as Ive seen on iOS not perfect but darn impressive Given a simple clearly sung melody its wrong guesses are very rare and theyll sometimes be easy to fix in your notation program eg a downbeat notated as a pickup but theyll sometimes be so impossible to fix that youd have to renotate eg a melody that clearly should have been notated in 68 or 128 instead notated as triplets within 44 One important bug to fix it consistently uses dotted half rests where thats musically incorrect where the correct notation would be a quarter rest and a half rest Best in class
5 tries 5 fails One try was just 3 notes I had high hopes for this app and would have considered the premium version but not with a track record such as this The bombreally

I bought this app thinking I would create sheet music for the alto saxophone and I recorded a tune but it wont even turn it into saxophone music It only works with a few instruments like guitar and piano Also the music only creates a part for one instrument meaning you cant do ensembles You might as well just write out music on a staff instead of paying for this app Dissapointed
I really want this app to work If you record very slowly it comes close For some songs it works as a foundation but I dont want to pay to upgrade unless it works well I hope the designers work harder I need this to work Wish it was great

Im very disappointed to say the least I play the piano and I have a hard time writing down the music as I play because I lose my train of thought I was hoping that I could find an app that would be able to listen to what Im playing and write it down on the master staff But this app only had the treble clef And I could not play more then one note at a time because it wasnt able to pick it up and that just makes music boring Really hope it gets better Really do Very disappointed

This lets you hum or play on an instrument a melody line and the app will create sheet music You only get a single clef All you can do is quickly capture an idea for a melody For what it is it is convenient Works well for what it is

I have no idea what the negative reviews are all about Please allow me a moment to illustrate what you have just stumbled upon here This app lets me hum a tune into my telephone and have it generate music that I can then play back as piano or guitar less than 10 seconds later Yes it does that and it costs less than a Big Mac Im creating tunes right now on my lunch break in a parked car with the air condition pumping out Arctic level coolness It still works flawlessly Have we become so spoiled in society that we cannot bring ourselves to see the value in an app that allows this for the minuscule price of 99 I consider myself a creative individual but by no means am I a musician My creative expertise lies in illustration and character design This app allows me to hum music and generates an additional element that I am able to add to my presentations that I would have otherwise not been able to create And in case you missed it its doing this all for 99 cents Cheers This app is amazing

I have an iPod touch running iOS 615 and an iPad running iOS 613 When I first got this app it ran fine and seemed fairly useful but after the latest update it doesnt work at all on either device even though the description still says it should work with iOS 6 and above When I try to start it I see the logo briefly it disappears and Im returned to the home screen Its a quick download and free though so if youre interested it might be worth giving it a try particularly if youve got a newer device and operating system Just Doesnt Work
Doesnt actually let you save as MIDI making this almost entirely useless Even though you pay 2 for it you cant have more than four recordings unless you register with their service No MIDI requires registration

The app works well for simple melodies that have predictable lines but if there are untraditional interval jumps its not very accurate Good for beginners and hobbyists but its not as useful as using a regular tuner to dictate songs into So sadly I cant really recommend this app but Nice idea though and will keep my eye on this Nice idea for simple melodies but not for anything too advanced

Originally Score Cloud asks you for your email in order to store more then 5 songs and with the new update you are now forced to enter your email and agree to a terms of use even after PURCHASE Limitations attached unless email is handed forward so I am upset The update also wiped all of the songs I previously recorded and I realize that there is no way to get them back I still consider this app a good alternative to a device that plugs into your instrument for when youre on the go but be warned before purchase that you will have to set up an account youll never use and give them an email On top of that you have to upgrade your account in order to exceed 10 recordings even though your spending good money on the app After all that programminga scam
I downloaded this and tried it out I then played some notes on the piano and listened to them back I used up the 4 saved songs an unregistered account is allowed so I deleted them and played with the app some more After doing a couple more with no problems I registered to allow more saved songs as my child is learning the piano and this would be fun to have Unfortunately right after I gave them my email address as required to register it fails to analyze everything My child played a whole song and it failed I played just 3 notes and it failed every single time since Is this an email phishing scam Awfully suspicious
