Too long of pauses between versus background static pauses and the dialogue does not sound natural I have listened to scourby for years and its just not the same     Not natural

I am on the latest version of iOS 8 I am giving it two stars because it used to work last year        App crashes every time Wont open completely unusable

I have long sought a Scourby audio Bible app for my iPhone This app is excellent Some purchasers claim to hear an annoying sound during the audio and a pause between verses I do not have either problem and wonder if it is due to an older version or a poorer quality audio device they are using or devious intentions they may harbor There is a very slight almost imperceptible background sound that I think is a tiny echo of the reading If you dont exert the effort to hear it you wont I hear it ever so slightly but ONLY when the audio volume is turned up way too high Even at the high volume it is so negligible as to be unnoticed Why would anyone want to blast their ears at excessive volume anyway Unless someone has a hearing disability there is no need It is common in audio recordings for slight audio imperfections to manifest themselves at higher volumes If people crank up the volume to an unreasonable loudness then they have themselves to blame and should not blame this app The alleged pause between verses sounds like a normal reading of Bible passages There actually is no pause except perhaps in some folks imagination Perhaps the problems some are having has more to do with the power of suggestion from the naysayers than it does a real defect I have excellent hearing and to me the audio is fine I am very happy with the app and very unhappy with those who wrongly demean the quality of the product and lead others away from an EXCELLENT product and the greatest Bible narrator ever This is a great app that I definitely recommend                 Excellent app

Best Bible App This is an extremely useful application with lots of great features My favorite features are the ability for the app to fully function offline and the ability to hear the Scourby voice read to me when unable to read myself as while driving Definitely one of my top applications for ease of use reliability and usefulness                 Best Bible App

I use this App regularly it is well laid out easy to use and most importantly allows one to listen to the word of God anywhere                 Excellent App

I had the Scourby KJV narration as mp3 files on my iPhone but playback was cumbersome books were in alphabetical order The sound quality is on a par with the mp3 files I havent explored all the features yet but the layout is well done This app is on my home screen In my teens I knew people who had the Scourby recordings on records vinyl LP disks that played on turntables In my twenties i bought the New Testament and Psalms recordings on audio cassettes A few years ago I bought the mp3 files on CDs Each technology was amazing in its time The Word is eternal                 Well worth the price

If like me you purchased this app because of the ability to create Playlists of scripture verses you will be disappointed in the long run because the app does not offer any storage of the Playlists you create Therefore if you lose or upgrade your phone your carefully created Playlists are all gone I sadly discovered this when I lost ALL Playlists I spent so much time creating and organizing The Playlist feature was the selling point for me on this app Scourbys reading is so otherwise widely available and most FREE Bible apps have audio readings Very disappointed at the loss     No Playlists Storage

The best application available for a variety of reasons Scourby reads the King James Version These are the two most important factors Scourby has a beautiful articulate voice and he reads in a smooth calm and rhythmic way Very pleasant The application itself scrolls through the scripture verses in a variety of fonts and backgrounds there is a bibliographyother settings Very cool Worth every dollar The King James Bible is the best book ever and Scourby does the best reading mesmerizing                 Alexander Scourby Bible App

I have owned and reviewed hundreds of apps many of them religious and inspirationally based This is far and away the best of both worlds Scourbys voice over is the most profound and powerful reading of the Word that mixed with the many functions of this clever app make it worth 10 times the price I paid I look forward with great anticipation to whatever else these clever folks come out with soon                 App is best combination of Word tech

Outstanding This is the audio Bible Ive been waiting for years to get Its worth every dime I spent on it Sound quality is superb and features are well done By far the best allaround Bible app for reading listening and memorization However as good as this app is I do have few suggestions for future releases that I wish it could do 1 allow multiple color options for text highlighting 2 connect a Strongs Concordance like the one in Patrick Franklins Touch Bible available in iTunes App Store 3 variable reading speed sometimes Mr Sourby goes a little fast 4 recalculate the oneyear reading plan based on the start date and starting point in the Bible e g if I want to start reading at Ezra 41 on 5222015 then give me a daily reading plan for the remainder of 2015 covering from Ezra 41 through Revelation 2221 I will start over at Genesis at the beginning of 2016 Thank you for a fabulous app                 Fabulous App Period

I love listening to Alexander Scourby read the Bible but I can hear an echo in the background or even someone talking while hes reading No one in my opinion reads the Bible like he can I hope this echo can he fixed I still give that app 5 stars Best Bible App Out there                 T Cool

I could put my scourby MP3 Bible on my phone but decided to spend 20 bucks for convenience Big mistake I use this in my car and the Bible book chapter verse selection wheel is just awful I select book chapter verse while driving then while listening there is NO button to forward or reverse a chapter at a time PLUS if I open back up the selection wheel its NOT where I made my last selection its back at the first book of the Bible so while driving I have to spin the selection wheel all around again to find my book chapter verse again and doesnt save my last selection there needs to be an easier navigation so drivers can easily select books and chapters while driving or jogging Designer of app please fix and I will change my rating to five stars     Regretting

This app has been a tremendous blessing to me You have features that I have been looking to find for a long time that facilitates my memorizing and meditating on Scripture The loop feature and the timer feature or a particular ones I have been looking for The ability to customize these features to the sections of scriptures I am memorizing and meditating on so I can listen to them over and over again is what I needed to store up Gods word in my heart and mind The recent updates are fantastic also thank you for doing such an excellent job to facilitate ingrafting Gods word into our lives and constantly improving this app                 Very well done with unique features not found in other apps

I read some reviews that said the sound quality wasnt great I LOVE the Bible read by Scourby so I decided to try it anyway I have the Scourby Bible on CD and also had it for years before that on cassette I wanted the app on my iPhone so i would have it with me at all times so I figured how bad can it be Surely they cant sell it for 20 in the App Store if it is too bad WRONG The sound is horrible It reminds me of poor recordings by cassette recorders from many years ago If this is really a legitimate Scourby Bible by the people who own the copy write then why is the sound not good VERY VERY disappointed If there was a way to get money back I would     VERY Poor Sound Quality

This update will not even download to my phone ITunes automatically deleted previous version and I cant download current version SERIOUSLY     BROKEN

I was fortunate enough to be part of the beta testing team for a previous version of this app In doing so I was in constant contact with the development team and through that I was able to determine that they really cared for this product and wanted it to be as user friendly to those that love the Lord and want to absorb his word into their hearts through this app After seeing the updates in this new version I have to say that its even better than the version I beta tested and that the development team continues to listen to the consumers of this product and cares for the way in which it is utilized according to the feedback they receive from the users The interface of it is easier than ever and the new additions to the UI of the app are great If youre looking for a great KJV audio Bible app then you cant do any better than the Scourby Bible app that allows you to see and hear the great truths of our Lords word with ease and great comfort I highly recommend this app for anyone looking for a KJV audio Bible app Matthew C                 Quick Review of Scourby Audio Bible app

All you have to do is look back in our history as Americans When our leaders started this great nation with the most important book of their times and still if the most important book every printed the Holy Bible When I grew up there was none of the crimes that we have now I grew up where you did have to lock your doors You did have to worry what was going to happen inside or outside of your homes none of the shooting that we happen every day in our great country People got a long with everyone Why did all this happen when I grew up is because our parents took us to church and we got to know GOD and Jesus If you wonder why we having all the problems in our county now there is one answer We have kick GOD and his son out of everything that is import to us a country If we do not believe in him GOD does not believe in us The only way back to a Great America is thru the Bible Read it and you find out for yourself the real meaning of life The Bible can change your life for the better All you have to do in read or listen This app is the most important app there is If can save your life                 THE BEST APP FOR YOUR PHONE AND LIFE

This app is just not the same There used to be two other apps by the same company and I got both of them and I really liked them But now when I went to redownload them they were gone They were replaced by this app a less and marginal app I am very disappointed and want a refund     Was great but

Initially when I downloaded the App it crashed but support advised me to delete it and reload and it worked I really like the words of Jesus in red Although I must say that I am not a fan of the new icon the old one was fine with me but se la vie looking forward to the new revisions                 I Like the New Updates

Since the latest update the app wont Start Always crashes after pausing for a few seconds on the splash screen Im using an iPhone 5S and I rebooted over and over again Yet this app just doesnt work at all     Broken after update

Good reader app works well on ipad no need to spend another 2000 All your playlists work will be lost on system restore so dont waste your time Poorly designed without one I am done spending hours creating precious playlists only to have them lost upon necessary restores Terrible design Nice app and app store says installs on iphone only not on ipad as stated It will still download though its noted iphone only Beware the other so called HD version that does not run on the iphone either Store will show no mercy for such customer mistakes in your choice Cost me 40 dollars to run this overpriced app on two devices     No back system to save work

With this app you can listen to Gods word even with the screen clicked off so the battery use is negligible You can search a word and create a playlist and then play it as you go to sleep so that it doesnt just play all night Or you can create a playlist of your favorite passages even several chapters and turn it on as you start to wake up For my kids I made a playlist of favorite Bible stories for them to enjoy My seven year old who was having trouble with lying has a playlist full of verses about truth vs lies He hasnt lied in a while The entrance of Gods word gives light and whether you know God or not listening and meditating on his word will open your eyes and brighten your life This app is worth much more than the phone Thank Jesus for his gift of eternal life through his blood he shed when he died was buried and rose again and for freely giving us his precious word which so many have given their lives to hold If you can afford this app pls get it If you cant ask God to give it to you I did and he did                 This app is worth more than the iPhone

I really like this app and recommend it highly It is true that there is a slight pause between verses and the audio has a background hiss At normal volume it is barely detectable I would like it if they cleaned it up but I still think the app is worth having                 Yes I would buy it again

This is one of the most comprehensive and user friendly Bible apps that I have used I had the very first edition of the Scourby Bible App because I grew up listening to him read the Bible on cassette tapes It now lives on both my iPhone and iPad I am a busy adult college student working part time with my church as well as working in the military This app allows me to fill my mind with the word of God outside of my quite time alone with him Extremely easy to navigate and use has a great look and a wonderful sound quality I have set up many playlists within seconds A handy repeat function helped me to memorize some verses for a class I was taking at THE Ohio State The team that keeps this app up to date has done an outstanding job Two thumbs aloft for this app                 I love this app and use it often One of my favorite

I have had this app for about a year and I use it daily I have listened to more complete books of the bible since getting the app than I ever did on a day reading schedule alone I am so impressed with the usefulness of this app that I purchased two more for a family member and a friend Good value in a bible study tool                 Very Useable Bible App

Update crashes every time I try to open it Also in reading the update info I see that the words of Christ are now in red I do NOT want this feature Please remove this feature or give me the opportunity to turn it off and PLEASE PLEASE fix the update or give me the opportunity to reload the old version     Help

It seems the developers made a fatal error For some reason they released an update that allowed for full screen viewing and the ability to select verses by pressing the verse numbers Then they took it all away really frustrating and they still have the instructions saying jump to verse We have 6 users in our household and we are all very disappointed with this           Fatal error

The last update will not allow the app to start It may show up for a quick secondbut thats all The list of updated features look great I just wish I can get to use them     Major Update Problem
