Trying to subscribe I am in the App Store and it says cant connect     Tarascon pharmapedia v Dmd0405
I use the app almost every day                     Worth the price pmmjones
Many have written reviews some disparaging about this product I would have agreed with almost all of them until EPocrates saw fit to begin pushing annoying ads every time you start the app and they are only removed if you subscribe for 170 year Granted this gets you more than the 40 that Tarascon asks but if all you need is a drug resource is the extra cost worth it Otherwise EPocrates is more polished and in it s free form much more useful than Tarascon in it s free form which is severely crippled                     Alternative to EPocrates Birding Man!
Very high price for this kind of app         Not worth it rishat_rizatdinov
Like other reviewers I have used Tarason s mobile app since my Palm Pilot days The interface is as good as it has ever been However their partner Atmos Apps cannot resolve a flaw in which your subscription is unrecognized I haven t been able to use the app for a month They are promising a year s free subscription when the issue is resolved I won t need it b c I m not using Tarascon anymore Don t buy                     Don t buy Nordicmom111
I have used some form of the Tarascon pharmacopoeia for the past 12 years After the accidental update of this app left it non functioning unless I renew my subscription in other words held for ransom I have officially sworn off the product and am switching to epocrates But not only for that reason Let me also confirm what others have pointed out 1 This app costs nearly twice what the printed book costs 2 Your 40 will purchase the app for ONLY ONE YEAR in other words rents My book versions still work just fine after the first year of use 3 Your subscription is automatically renewed without your consent unless you cancel This alone makes me not want to buy products that do this to their customers 4 Once an update comes out there are very annoying popups every single time you open the app that cannot be disabled Kind of like the new iOS updates do you really want two of those on your phone And at least the iOS update is free 5 They dramatically change the format of the app every year So by the time you get very used to knowing where all the buttons are and how to use it essentially without thought This is the very first review of an app I have ever given I felt compelled to do so simply for the peace of mind that it might keep one healthcare provider from giving this company their money and feeling the frustration obviously felt by many of the users of this app Your money is just like a vote Giving it to this company tells them you find this perfectly acceptable and therefore they will just continue to practice unethically     Do not purchase this product PokERdoc2
I used the Tarascon pharmacopeia from iTunes and now when i upgraded my phone it doesn t allow e to have it in new phone I have to make another purchase Called customer service and they are useless Only publishing and have nothing to do with apps Directed me to apple customer service Don t recommend to buy unless ok purchasing it over and over annually     Useless customer service Have to buy app annually Kizimka
This app is great despite having to pay 40 a year I only wish they added pictures of the medication                 Still worth the price Pavlop
Better options out there Once subscription is over one cannot use the app any longer unless you buy it again If I am paying a full price I expect to own the content and not have to be forced to buy another subscription It should be my choice I refuse to buy this guide any longer I am happy with Medscape and Micromedex which is enough for my needs in internal and family medicine     Misleading won t buy again ER NP student
I have been using it for years I really like it and I think it is worth the price                     Certified Wound Specialist MD FernandoKM
This is an application is a tool that is used to save lives It works adequately in terms of a simple interface the info is consistently updated and most importantly it comes from a trusted source                     It Works Fire_Bro
Have used this since the 1990s High price is the only reason this is not a five star review Also would be nice to have half life of meds so I would not have to use a competitor for that                     The deluxe paper version on your phone Christa's Ipod
I have used this ever since residency I always have a paper copy backup in my locker I is very convenient to use and very reliable I frequently use it at the bedside to review medications and possible interactions                     Use the APP every shift USNERDOC
By far and away the most useful best designed program of its type Curated by pharmacists and clinicians Unbiased data Does not sell your look up data to pharma unlike the free e poc ra tes Worth every penny                     INDISPENSIBLE Pacbuck
Worth every penny                     Fantastic Miallenst
This app is easy to navigate includes even the latest drugs Also easier to read than book for those of us with over 40 eyes I use it frequently find it worth its value to me                     Very useful app Cdubjags
The program itself wasn t bad but they have gotten more draconian in their renewal policies Now instead of annoying you constantly with update suggestions while you are trying to care for patients the program simply locks you out Suddenly no data no book I ve updated in the past but never again There are competing products out there including their own book Research and buy them     Don t purchase night21
This is my go to for dosing indications and interactions BUT IT IS TOO expensive So many more fancy apps are 3 5 At least you could make renewals cheaper and leave the Original open After paying THAT much             Great for a Cadillac Dr. Buckskin
Outstanding guide to assist with patient care                     Excellent reference Driver in need
The books were good for years but the subscription stays updated The material is so much easier to find on my iPhone and it s way easier to read I love my Pharmacopeia app                     I LOVE my Tarascan app Jazgtr
This app is very helpful for the internist                     Fantastic app worth every penny ChristineToday
After paying the HIGH price for this app I was locked out a year later unless I renewed I couldn t even access the old data I paid for I guess they lost another customer until they change their policy     LOCKS YOU OUT FlacoFace
Can t find where to turn off automatic renewals Frequent prompts for useless updates Less complete drug information than previous versions Will start to look for an alternative to this expiring classic     MD Dr. Nazeeri
The original description did not mention the subscription part The book is less than half of the price of this app You get to keep it     Just buy the book @Sigil
Handy to have but TOO TOO EXPENSIVE             Too Expensive work on weekends
Picture purchasing this product in paperback and in 12 months the company breaks into your library and steals it That s tantamount to way this app works The description is fraudulent its not just a matter of renewing a yearly subscription to get an update as they state LITERALLY THEY JUST SHUT OFF YOUR APP THAT YOU PAID FOR AND ON YOUR DEVICE UNLESS YOU SIGN UP FOR THEIR AUTO RENEWING YEARLY CONTRACT WITH A CREDIT CARD ON FILE Deserves a zero rating but can t write a review with a zero Not very happy MD PhD Clinical Pharmacologist     MISLEADING AND FRAUDULENT SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM APP STORE sdoctor-wizard
The app is nice while it s functioning However unlike the book there is no convenient way to view related drugs or drug families which I really used a lot with the paper version In addition to this lack of functionality you get saddled with a subscription fee Yes you get updates but once your sub is done you get completely locked out It doesn t just stop updating I suppose they re afraid someone will sue because their version of the app was out of date On the other hand the vast majority of what I m looking for doesn t change Would not recommend Will go back to buying the book         Cannot access once subscription ends WinterEC
App itself is good and it is markedly too expensive App 40 per year Pocket book 9 90 Problem also that the app will lock up on you when the year is up which is total balogney I paid for it in 2014 and like the book should be able to keep all the data up to my expiration date I do not care if I don t get the updates So I buy one book it lasts me 2 or 3 yrs for 99 of what I do Not renewing anymore         Too expensive update mandatory GPG MD
This app works as you would expect it to work without bugs and glitches and with an easy interface and a little better detail than the physical Tarascon Pharmacopoea book The big problem is the cost Whereas the book is published annually and the pocket edition costs around 15 and can be used forever this app costs more than 40 but for that fee you only get one year of use And after that year the app is locked and you don t even have the privilege of using the older data So help me understand There is no printing no distribution no shelf space none of the overhead going into producing a physical book Just the software And yet it costs way more I m thinking Tarascon will need to make pricing more reasonable or they will lose market to the competition             Good but TOO EXPENSIVE Chris OHNS
Terrible     No access PhotoNewbie
Subscription each year Crap     Crapware Shaddam Corrino IV
If can not improve functionality leave well enough alone Very clumsy to use this forced updated version Not user friendly probably will never renew again Retrieving information taking back and forth clicking waist time     Down date not UP date Raptorsaurus
Stick to the pocket book as the app Must be renewed at 40 to view once initial script has expired The pocket book s contents will always be ready for you even if a little outdated     Must renew to view Rober-tater
Making app free for a day then the app stops working unless you pay a 40 subscription Cheap tricks make this well designed app useless and untrustworthy Thanks for wasting time     Cheap tricks to get subscriptions Angrytrucks
An app that ceases to function by design and on purpose and by trickery no less deserves a less than Zero rating The Legal terminology is Breach of Contract When I bought this app several years ago I bought it with the understanding that it would continue to work whether or not it was renewed in order to obtain the updates I did update it at least once It was not perfect but it was useful even without updates Somehow it was recently updated to the new format without the warning that it would cease to function Now it cannot be accessed at all without payment of an update fee which I am disinclined to do because I find the new format less convenient Previous users who bought the app under the old rules are entitled to be allowed to return to the old app format as it previously functioned without the updates If they want updates they can pay the update fee but Tarascon is not entitled to hack into their machines and disable a previously purchased app Tarascon or its new owners or management firms must honor contractual agreements Declaring Bankruptcy may absolve them of this obligation but selling the company or its management does not absolve I and others who bought the app that Tarascon or its descendant entities has fraudulently disabled are entitled to a refund or to a restoration of their previously functioning Tarascon Pharmacopoeia App Class Action     Breached Contract samsalaht
I m very disappointed in Tarascon This newest version is subscription based which means your app is disabled every year until you pay again Very greedy Tarascon Secondly I preferred the previous format where all of the information on a particular drug was in one long entry The new format makes you click back and forth to see each of the different informational entries This is very tedious     Disappointed in newest version CJK38
Been using Tarascon products for many years Recently after software update it seized to work on my iPad giving messages Subscription inactive although it works fine on iPhone and is active till Jan 2016 Attempts to restore app leads to the app store demanding new 39 99 for subscription Contacted support team and realized that recently it has been changed from USBMIS to Atmosphere Apps After 3 days of back and forth emailing confirming subscription got just formal link How to Transfer Apps From an iPhone to an iPad It didn t help at all because I tried to do it all possible ways before and specifically told about this problem in our conversations Since then they stopped contacting at all Phone service gives only Leave a message option Stay away form this app and Atmosphere Apps They don t care                     Good app but customer support below zero Dr. LD
What s the deal I m feeling a bit testy about the automatic renewal right now The app won t allow me to restore the purchase just insists the subscription is inactive despite my receipt showing paid up until 11 2015     Subscription is active but can t access drdnaz
This application is very similar to that of the book Tarascon Pharmacopeia Desk Referencebut you will soon discover that this app is very easy to use and makes a quick reference to drugs tables and an interaction guide where you can crossreference drugs and view list of known drug interactions If you are a doctor or someone who prescribes drugs I would highly recommend purchasing this app                 Tarascon Pharmacopeia
stay away from this app it will be useless and unaccessable once your subscription expired     unable to access when subs expired
This app is very helpful I find it valuable However be warned that if you have an issue with the app customer service will not be helpful They get you twice or three times in my case Bought the app 39 a year ago then had to pay for a subscription another 39 Then turned on home sharing in iTunes Which made me buy the app again yep another 39 I knew I had to pay for the subscription again yep another 39 but couldnt believe theyd make me repurchase the app over again Greedy and sneaky           Good info too bad customer service didnt match
Nice app but it forces you to answer a dialog box for updates every time you open it For how much this costs this is unacceptable and needs to be fixed        Updates every time you open
Your company is dumb Everyone in our community downloads these apps and brings them to a foreign country Its a lot of resources in one small tablet You have lost the respect of the specialized servicemen in this field Poor business decision EPOCRATES FOR EVERYONE     Entire Special Ops Medic Group
For 30yrs Ive purchased Pocket Pharmacopoeia from its early days as the smallest of pocket books to its current incarnation including many of their speciality books and apps However any of those I have purchased are still mine to use if I am content wit the content NOT ANY MORE As numerous others have commented the latest update disables the app to pay for subscriptions and this is untenable I will no longer support this app And whereas I used to update my pocket books each time they were available I will no longer be doing so Shame on Tarascon     Bad move
After years of carrying around the paperback version of the Tarascon I found the perfect replacement in this app It balances quickness with essential data                 Love this app
This is a good app Has all the same content as the books One problem is that they update CONSTANTLY Hardly a day goes by that I dont get a nag screen just as I start to search for a drug Why cant they just use a badge on the app icon like everybody else Secondly once you DO update if ANYTHING happens that makes you interrupt it by interrupt I mean hitting the home button during the update it locks up and you cant access the app until you shut down the whole phone All you have is a progress screen There is a cancel button but it does nothing You can hit the home button and get out but you cant use Tarascon again til you reset the system This is cheap and sloppy Btw dont try to email Tarascon The email they give doesnt work        Update Nags
I purchased this electronic version of Tarascons Pharmacopoeia just over a year ago but havent chosen to update my subscription as the 1 year old information was sufficient at this time However this new app locks me out and does not allow me to access any of the content I purchased last year It was bad enough having to deal with a reminder that had to be dismissed every time I opened the app If I purchased the print version of this book would the publisher stop by my home after a year and steal my purchased book because there is a new version with updated content Steer clear of this ridiculous scheme     Horrible business practice
How come that you billed my acct of 4279 when Im not subscribing to this application Pls Im asking for a refund     Wrong subscription
Been using Tarascon products for many years Recently after software update it seized to work on my iPad giving messages Subscription inactive although it works fine on iPhone and is active till Jan 2016 Attempts to restore app leads to the app store demanding new 3999 for subscription Contacted support team and realized that recently it has been changed from USBMIS to Atmosphere Apps After 3 days of back and forth emailing confirming subscription got just formal link How to Transfer Apps From an iPhone to an iPad It didnt help at all because I tried to do it all possible ways before and specifically told about this problem in our conversations Since then they stopped contacting at all Phone service gives only Leave a message option Stay away form this app and Atmosphere Apps They dont care     Good app but customer support below zero
Bought this app because I read other reviews saying it included the tables insulin steroids peds fluids from the book But not really The info from tables available in individual searchable format but not in table format like in the book whats the point of a table if the info is not comparable in a TABLE Just wasted 40 Back to the paperback     Stick with the book
Ever since updated to newest version of iPad operating system this application wont open Glad I spent the money     App wont open
Whats the deal Im feeling a bit testy about the automatic renewal right now The app wont allow me to restore the purchase just insists the subscription is inactive despite my receipt showing paid up until 112015     Subscription is active but cant access
Colleagues please post best alternative app you know     Infuriating
I use this app virtually every day in my practice As mentioned by another reviewer it tells you there is an update available every time you open it even if you allowed it to update 5 minutes ago Contrary to another post it works just fine without a data connection              Excellent resource but please fix the updates
An app that ceases to function by design and on purpose and by trickery no less deserves a less than Zero rating The Legal terminology is Breach of Contract When I bought this app several years ago I bought it with the understanding that it would continue to work whether or not it was renewed in order to obtain the updates I did update it at least once It was not perfect but it was useful even without updates Somehow it was recently updated to the new format without the warning that it would cease to function Now it cannot be accessed at all without payment of an update fee which I am disinclined to do because I find the new format less convenient Previous users who bought the app under the old rules are entitled to be allowed to return to the old app format as it previously functioned without the updates If they want updates they can pay the update fee but Tarascon is not entitled to hack into their machines and disable a previously purchased app Tarascon or its new owners or management firms must honor contractual agreements Declaring Bankruptcy may absolve them of this obligation but selling the company or its management does not absolve I and others who bought the app that Tarascon or its descendant entities has fraudulently disabled are entitled to a refund or to a restoration of their previously functioning Tarascon Pharmacopoeia App Class Action     Breached Contract
Been using this app for years Good information but it makes you update every time you enter app Even if you leave app and come back in a few sec says there is an update This is So annoying when trying to look a drug up and your typing is interrupted by this pop up PLEASE FIX and I will give you 5 stars        Annoying
EVERY time you go into this app a popup window stops you from proceeding and tells you an update is available and asks if you would like to download it Every time Even if you download when you move out of the app and then go back in it will tell you another update is available Over and over again each and every time you reenter the app ANNOYING I have the feeling they are not truly updating the content 100 times a day     Updates EVERY time you open it
This app works as you would expect it to work without bugs and glitches and with an easy interface and a little better detail than the physical Tarascon Pharmacopoea book The big problem is the cost Whereas the book is published annually and the pocket edition costs around 15 and can be used forever this app costs more than 40 but for that fee you only get one year of use And after that year the app is locked and you dont even have the privilege of using the older data So help me understandThere is no printing no distribution no shelf space none of the overhead going into producing a physical book Just the software And yet it costs way more Im thinking Tarascon will need to make pricing more reasonable or they will lose market to the competition           Good but TOO EXPENSIVE
Similar to the other reviewers I wanted to update my previously bought edition since the iPhone kept giving me an annoying This item is out of date message that was irrelevant since the content was still useful The content was bought with a previous Apple ID and not only would it not let me update it it locked out all my content after I tried This is a really sleazy disgusting scam and as a result of this shortsighted business practice I will NEVER again update the content or buy this product Way to go Tarascam one more alienated customer     Scam or should I say Tarascam
Absolutely disgusted by Tarascon requiring me to repurchase this app Agree with other reviewers Will switch to Epocrates andor micromedex     Agree
I completely agree that while I should be charged for new content like a book the old version as old as it may be is mine     This is easy
Useful app but please stop the RENEW screen everytime there should be some way to turn this off This makes me angry everytime 04272015 DO NOT UPDATE or you will lose complete function as there is only screen mandating you pay 40 to be able to use the app you already paid good money to use NO notification that this was going to happen was given GOODBYE Tarascon DO NOT UPDATE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR APP AS IT WILL REQUIRE A CONTINUOUS SUBSCRIPTION TO USE UNLIKE IN THE PAST     ANNOYING RENEW SCREEN EVERYTIME IT IS USED
Subscription each year Crap     Crapware
Im very disappointed in Tarascon This newest version is subscription based which means your app is disabled every year until you pay again Very greedy Tarascon Secondly I preferred the previous format where all of the information on a particular drug was in one long entry The new format makes you click back and forth to see each of the different informational entries This is very tedious     Disappointed in newest version
Stick to the pocket book as the app Must be renewed at 40 to view once initial script has expired The pocket books contents will always be ready for you even if a little outdated     Must renew to view
A solid product i have relied on for yrs and recommended to so many Over 14 yrs started in med school with the pocket books New update is poor at best Finding more problems with each use Outpt peds med table is not there and and many more bugs Not to mention it is way overpriced and making us pay 40 a year is a scam especially when the product is inferior Wont renew and will take back all the nice things i ever said about it     Great to terrible in one update
Tarascon has always been my go to app for medication prescribing info Now this new update makes it so I cant use it unless I resubscribe Why take away what I already paid for I dont need the updates Now I have switched to a free MPR app     From 5 to 1 star with one update
If can not improve functionality leave well enough alone Very clumsy to use this forced updated version Not user friendly probably will never renew again Retrieving information taking back and forth clicking waist time     Down date not UP date
Contrary to the previlus reviewer this app is entirely available offline with no internet connection needed I agree that access to the tables in the print version even as PDF version or scans would be helpful such as the topical steroid potency tables and the tables pertaining to neuro exam and dermatology map Im still upset about the price however given how much less expensive the paper book is I do tho knots robbery to charge 29year if the book is so much less expensive           Wonderful substitute to the print version
You will need another more comprehensive drug reference like the free Medscape app which also gives you formulary information to look up things like the pharmacology or renal and hepatic dosing This app to me though is worth the price to have in addition to the above app because it quickly gives you the most salient important information about a drug in an easy to read one page format It has great information on drug monitoring and subclass warnings and is the only reference Ive found that tells you which beta blockers are safe in a cocaine addict Also unique to this app are various reference tables that give you things like pediatric dosing in teaspoons for common meds like acetaminophen fluoride supplementation doses depending on how much is in your local water insulin pharmacokinetics and diabetes goals I will say however that the diabetes goals are taken from the Diabetes Standards of Care from 2010 and it desperately needs to be updated as this is published annually and it doesnt mention hep B vaccination or new cholesterol guidelines Also I should point out that this reference has adult and Peds FDA approved as well as off label indications and dosages which I think is essential Ive tried several drug references and Medscape this and the Davis drug guide are probably the best out there Medscape is free and the obvious choice for a comprehensive drug reference but to me this app is well worth it as your primary prescribing reference for all the above reasons The Davis drug guide is nice but I cant recommend over this one as a paid app              Great Quick Reference
I have always loved the paper versions of this app My problem with this app is when the year subscription expires a pop up appears informing me that my subscription has expired It informs me two or three times in a row in a not very well veiled attempt in badgering me to renew The pocket book is cheaper and it does not harass me Maybe I should stay low tech Save myself money and hassle              Great but
I have used this app in my practice every day for over 3 years I have not found a faster way to get the medication info I need when I need it I have several other competing apps in my iphone including Epocrates at 200year but its clunky by comparison Thanks for the great product Tarascon                 Most useful app
I loved this app I used it while I was in my second year of PA school I immediately stopped loving this app when it expired Every time I needed to use this app to reference a medication I was asked repeatedly to renew my subscription Im not talking about once a day Im talking about 23 times every time I opened the app to use it This was incredibly annoying while I was trying to provide patient care in a timely manner I would like to see USBMIS Inc fix this so that there is an option to ignore forever and to go back in and renew the subscription when we were good and ready This app has gone from the app I always used to Screw this Im downloading epocrates Just because of that Also I understand that we are paying 40 bucks for the convenience for our phones got it But your books are 15 bucks a pop at most Ill shell out forty bucks for the convenience but every year I suggest there be a cheaper subscription renewal price Definitely not renewing           Great App but MAJOR reason to not buy it explained
I had a subscription before the update When the update occurred the device became disabled until I ponied up 40 dollars I assumed that once I updated I would get the extra time added onto my original subscription This did not occur Now I have a phone and an iPad The forty dollars I spent apparently does not cover me for the second device This is a rip off no matter how you look at it Incidentally I like the layout of the new app It isnt worth losing my original subscription     Price gouging for every device you own
I used this app for several years now only to find that I can no longer access the information I paid for Instead they want an annual subscription Save your money and use another app     Greedy
Dont wast your money You are only allowed to use the application for a year and then you have to pay a 40 renewal fee Better served using epocrates or micromedix     Awful
A very handy reference Easy interface and regular updates You dont need wifi or cell for data after loading I use regularly in clinic ER and on rounds                 Handy
I agree totally with the review by CountrymanS2013 I think its so greedy for a company to charge 4000 for an upgrade to an app that you have already purchased and then have the audacity to block further use of the older version that you paid for previously I have been a long time user of Tarascon in both app version and printed version but this is just greedy Ill be downloading Epocrates now     ERPA
Love the new update Search works much better now Thanks                 Update Looks Great
I was perfectly fine with my 1 year old outdated version but this update mandates that I subscribe annually or else the app that I already PAID FOR ONCE and was fine with is now 100 useless Give me back the app that I paid for and let me choose to update my content if I want to BUYER BEWARE Epocrates is free and doesnt screw the customer like Terascon just did     Latest update forces annual subscription
Terrible     No access
I used to have this as a paperback and decided to switch to an app to be more eco friendly paid the 40 and now theyre trying to lease for 40 per year The paperback cost 28 on Amazon isnt supposed to be cheaper if its an app I will not recommend nor will I use tarascon again will keep in phone until next update to see if the fixed it i paid money for the information     Shame
I have used the Tarascon pharmacopoeia pocket book for over twenty years and it was excellent The price was right as well Then I purchased the App expecting it to be as usable as the book and I was disappointed You cannot view a whole class of drugs the way you can with the book Furthermore after spending 3900 which seemed like a lot of money for an app I suddenly am told I need to update for another 39 I ignored this and continued using the old version and now suddenly I cant use it at all What a rip off and very disappointing from Tarascon I for one will not purchase another App from them on principle There are many other free sources and in my hospital I can access up to date and micromedix If the subscription fee was 5 to 10 a yr it would be more reasonable     Tarascon pharmacopoeia
This app works great I have used it multiple times and have always been able to easily find information I used to use the paperback form but now only use the app It is much quicker I would highly recommend this app                 Pharmacopia
Making app free for a day then the app stops working unless you pay a 40 subscription Cheap tricks make this welldesigned app useless and untrustworthy Thanks for wasting time     Cheap tricks to get subscriptions
This was a complete waste I purchased this because I love the print version and wanted the convenience of having it on my iPad This version is online I havent been able to use it if not connected to web for 40 I thought I would be able to download it and use offline In the print edition there are many little tidbits I find helpful they arent there in this version this is a supergeneric med reference Epocrates has been more useful than this and a lot less money and I use Epocrates more than this still Basically stick with the print version its about 20 you get more info and extras it wont expire after a year     Disappointing
When paying this kind of money I expect things to work you interactions are severly lacking I use epocrates free edition for interactions I have purchased Tarascon products since medical school paper to iphone you really need to step up your game and improve the function and data in this app           Has limitations
Love the content been using it for years but glitch with latest version wanting to update every single time you open it needs to be fixed Unacceptable           Good but needs work
