Originally ordered as a piano temperament tool found it a great metronome and easy to use guitar tuner as well A versatile musical tool

Practicing long tones for a horn player is very important as is playing in time this app is an awesome companion to any daily routine I love the tuner The tuner allows you to visualize slight changes in embouchure and how they affect your intonation It is also useful in evaluating instruments mouthpieces reeds etc A wonderfully useful tool for any musician Thank you Very useful practice tool

This is a great tuning app and I love the smiley face However one day my phone lost battery ridiculously fast as in dead by about 2 pm It was a normal work day so I wasnt using it heavily I went in to usage to find the culprit and low and behold it was the Tonal Energy Tuner I had used it once earlier in the day and apparently it kept doing something in the background that whole time Very annoying Once I actually force closed the app it was fine but I actually havent used it since because Im afraid Ill forget to turn it off Works great but kills my phone

I am a come back trumpet player still trying to develop my chops I have used several iPadiPhone tuners and metronomes First this is the only one that I found that works simultaneously which is what attracted me But the various functions to help with intonation is by far the best I have found My instructor has shown me various ways to use this tool to help improve my sound Did ask the developer a question and its been a week without a response guess they are busy Best one yet

This app has a fully adjustable tuner that is easy to read and that smiles at you when you are in tune But this app is much more that just a tuner It has a robust metronome a recording function so you can check your intonation and tone after the fact the option to import audio and playback specific sections at variable speeds perfect for practicing with accompaniment conducting and of course transcription and a detailed amplitude and tonal energy analysis which is extremely useful for balancing tone and dynamics across the range of your instrument It lets you employ all of these simultaneously if you like And that isnt all But those are the main things I use it for The functions are all very simple to access and understand I cant recommend this app more Much more than just a tuner

It only allows certain instruments such as the Bassoon I play Bb Clarinet and I cant get the thing to stay on Bb Clarinet Like it but it wont go to my instrument

I was thinking about adding a little feature that lets you play music then transpose it A little suggestion

As this is a pretty great metronome it is not a great tuner I say this because Im a French hornist and have much experience with notes This how ever did not make a great tuner and will not transpose it very well It will not show you the correct note you played when you play it right if you understand where Im going with this Other than that it was ok overall it was definitely not worth the money It was ok

Amazing tuner Super Accurate Great Interface

I use this app for my middle school band my low brass studio and my own playing Works well with younger students they like the smiley face when you are in tune as well as older students the Analysis feature is good for showing air flow issues Highly recommended Great Teaching Tool

This app is exceptional in almost every way but there are a few issues I have with it The first is that the reverb function is under advanced options when it should be in the main controls when you record Another issue that I have is that the tempo control buttons and the different tabs for tuner tone generator analysis and preferences are too close to each other so Im constantly opening preferences when I want to change the meter Ive had this issue on both my iPhone and iPad Despite these issues this is the highest quality metronome app out there and it only has some interface issues Constantly misclicking but still great

Much nicer than the 10 tuner app and separate metronome app I bought a few years ago Seems really nice all around though I havent yet used all the features If I find anything wrong Ill post a new review Very nice

The app works well for my purposes playing in a flute choir in duet with guitar While tuning at flute choir I noticed it was consistently registering the given tone as sharp so I asked my flute teacher to heck it The setting for 440 MHz was correct but the temperament was not on Just I didnt even know what temperament was still not sure but I learned something new and am tuning fine now Greatand Im just beginning to figure out what all it can do

I am a seventh grade clarinet player and this app helps me so much with all my problems I rate it 4 stars because I wish there was IPhone 66 plus support This app is amazing

The main panel on this app is not complicated but this app has more functions than you can imagine It basically takes every feature from every tuning device ever made and implements them all Do you really need all those functions Probably not But you can be sure that whatever function you do need is already in here Its a tuner with everything and then some

One of my favorite tuner apps I am an orchestral French horn player and this app has replaced my tuner in many ways Two of my favorite features are the tone generator for playing drones and the spectrum analyzer for attack and long tone analysis One of the best parts of the tuner is that it covers the entire range of the French horn Most tuners dont pick up the low low end but tonal energy does Great tuner
