It s a great app for more unconventional effects and sound design My main issue with it is that while trying to change parameters a split second after I touch the screen to change anything it goes right to MIDI map mode Very frustrating when trying to fine tune a sound             I loved this plugin on the computer 7Z7

The FX sound great and I love that you automate filter through flexible LFOs I also like performance mode where you can use X Y pads to change parameters This would be cool to use live It also plays well with Audiobus My only problem is thatI can t figure out how to get the FX not to jump when I played keys on my midi controller in the C2 range I get that you can midi learn those controls to CC s but I hate that the keys actually trigger these too When you clear the learned midi notes all is better until you close the app then it goes back to jumping parameters again             Great FX software BUT MichaelMoore83

After purchasing some sound manipulating filter effects apps like csGrain csSpectral Gloderverb and Apefilter I was looking at iDensitiy and iPulserat because I wanted to really shape and bend sound I had read somewhere about Turnado being able to do this and more After playing with it for an hour I can see how true that is It s amazing And now I m seeing that it can do a lot for a lot of different music types I like taking a sample OF A drum guitar vocal track and JUST play with it Being able to add simple subtle effects to very deep exaggerated changes if I want Turnado does that For a person wanting love effects it does that as well If you spend some time with it you will see it can add very dish effects that you may use in mastering but also become a sort of granular Singh vocoder I have 400 worth of music apps on my iPad I keep only the ones I know I ll use daily on dock and re download ones I need only for a time Turnado will stay on my iPad It s that useful                     Endless creative opportunity Ddchlad

I purchased Turnado after it went on sale because it had been highly recommended by others to me and the idea of a standalone effects processor to use in AudioBus was something I didn t have but appealed to me I also was interested to see what it could modifying a live guitar signal in AudioBus By and large Turnado has not disappointed There is a HUGE bank of effects options and dozens of presets for each that ensure you can find a new sound every time On my older device I was actually pleasantly surprised it worked on a guitar signal without latency though I ve heard that this increases as you use more effects My one gripe with it is that for all the genius effects and sound quality offered by the app the interface seems to be a lazy port of their PC plugins without any significant thought as to how to make it usable on an iPad The text is far too small and the touchable areas are hard to locate I also felt like there was a lot of wasted real estate on the screen I d like to see those concerns addressed in future updates because it frustrates users and probably discourages potential users when you can barely even tell what s going on from the screenshot Otherise this is an excellent app that can do everything from classic reverb to stutter dubstep                     Interface needs work but undeniable power variety HouseOfHomuth

Please fix your apps The only thing they do consistently is crash without fail I could understand if I was using an older device but I m not They are ALL unstable buggy hunks of overpriced crap that crash before their potential is realized Until you do not only will I continue to write scathing reviews of your products I also make it a point to reference how bad your apps DO NOT WORK in every app I review from other developers It is criminal to charge this much for a product that doesn t work I will continue to update my review to combat the paid for circle jerk reviews until you get this thing working properly or until you offer refunds to those who got duped by you     Dear Sugabytes Buddhas Palm

Turnado by far is the best filter app on iOS 8 different filters at the same time Awesome We don t need another 9th filter slider for our nose so please take a good vacation lol Would it be possible to put a reverse feature for the right hand pads so that the starting point is the base of the thumb and the filter increases as you go away from the thumb Then it would be the same action for both left and right hand and the user could keep the control panel display on because the thumbs x y movements would merely outline the panel box Also possibly making the opacity of the control panel partially see through Also save user setting would be nice Turnado crashed once at the file load screen from iPod library and then all my settings were gone                     To Music App Junkie each filter level can be edited Greg Sletteland

This app is a must have simultaneously simple and complex easy to use but so soooo deep Currently I m using it with my MPC1000 to resample beats that I make with the box and it has really put a lot more fun into beat making Currently I m not using a desktop at all and I m loving it Don t stress out about the price this app is worth it and then some Highly recommended                     Absolutely INCREDIBLE CutterJ

This app is ridiculously capable I have only used the factory settings and patches but it sounds terrific I finally opened one of the effects settings and holy cow that is a lot of parameters you ll be immersed for weeks maybe months before you ll be able to fully exploit the capabilities Never seen anything as complex as this hopefully can make everything you ask it to For now I find it capable and useful and will review again once I successfully integrate it in my studio                     One stop shop for effects C3l3$t1n0

This is an exact port of the desktop version and the functionality is the same Considering you can map the desktop version to a program like Lemur or TouchOSC the functionality is basically exactly the same I wouldn t recommend purchasing it for use on the iPad 1st Generation because processing is not great and it will frustrate you with crashes on a consistent basis But it s great for the A5 chip and above and it works like a dream with Audiobus If you are looking for the ultimate effects processor on the iPad You can stop looking                     Best Effects Processor on iOS Sound Malphunktion

I don t know what this developer did but I can no longer see the icon for Turnado on my iPad When I do a search it says it s in a folder called Top Hit I don t have such a folder Deleting till their app installs correctly Wasted 20     What did they do Eriptron

Ditched my beloved ableton and became an ipad musician when my laptop died but missed beat repeat auto filter resonator and the all the beautiful plug ins This does it all just have to be ginger to get the more subtle effects Used it with audio bus running Sunrizer and samplr in addition to line in for my guitar and as a standalone My ipad 2 is handling turnado without any clipping zipping or crashing I send audio to my looper pedals so I don t know how well it handles recording audio on top of everything else it s doing                     Works well on ipad 2 Win7user001

This app is great from the effects to the design but unfortunately it has extreme cracks and skips as the music plays which makes it useless for Dj and studio use or anything I even increased the audio buffer to its max 512 samples and the crackles and skips still show up if they fix this problem I would give this app a 5 star until then it s useless     My review )::(

They really nailed it with this I hope Sugar Bytes continues to develop for the iPad because this is one hell of a first try It s every bit as awesome as their plug ins actually better due to the hands on control My only caveat is that my iPad 2 has a slightly hard time running it It works fine actually but many FX combinations don t work even at the highest buffer setting It s not a problem though because the app is so deep and so well equipped that I can still spend hours with it I think I m actually going to spring for a new iPad soon just so I can use Turnado to its fullest extent That s how good it is                     Yes it s really that good and by and by and buy

Turnado now belongs to that small group of apps which include Animoog Beatmaker 2 AudioShare and a few others that you can tell the developers really went out of their way to make the best product in this category for the iPad If all music apps were this good I would be happy to pay 15 dollars for them Let this app be a lesson to future developers if you don t support audio copy paste and audiobus don t release your app yet What a spectacular version 1 0                     All apps should be this good computer musician

I ve used so many live effects apps on IOS Turnado completely BLOWS THEM AWAY At first blush I felt maybe 15 for an app w no walkthru on YT may be a bit much but I KID YOU NOT it took me less than 30 seconds of using Turnado to forget the cost completely This should clarify for you not only how awesome the app is but also how well it has been facilitated to provide a fast satisfying hands on experience for any novice or expert NO latency a staggering amount of effects with options to modulate even further and quite simply the MOST fluid fun experience for such a setup on the iPad Though I mention quite a few points I appreciate below really the main reason I would buy this app again at even 3x current price is because how well the interface has been optimized for iPad users In fact I ve found in retrospect that even more than content it s the overall impression from ease of use that remains a redeeming value for my app purchases In this respect I think it s fair to say that Turnado developers have thrown a 2 punch KO in terms of feature rich use but also a truly delectable experience in using their app From launch onwards you just know it has spent enough time baking in this respect I think it s worth commending the fact that even though it is only version 1 0 it stands superior to so many other music apps that haven t even gotten their ships together several versions on Some awesome features from Turnado Zoom ability for panel via tap with it s own 1 1 5 2 x presets AMAZING X Y Slider interface A clean and elegant solution the 4 X Y pads offer an excellent interface to handle the 8 different effects 2 pad by isolating each effect per axis with mixing on x y points To ensure further brilliance the sliders auto sync in real time with the X Y pads while the XY pad interfaces can be either static points or optionally snap back to zero point no effect when released for live mixing thankfully the sliders remain static so you are not spending time dialing back forth Finally with a single slam on the red slider button all 8 effects are killed everything reverts to zero point Top left panel of 24 main effects categories Each of these categories will drag drop to the 8 slot mixing panel A great plus is being able to add clones to ramp up any effect even more Each category itself has a pop up list with further related variations and if that weren t enough an innocuous edit button sits on each mixing slot Press it you get a dangerously crazy amount of modulation options which make even the most mundane beat come to life Seriously I was exploring music I ve heard hundreds of times by chopping altering up sections so that it sounded completely transformed The top panel has a great option for preset effect combinations varying 8 effect combos along with a user folder so you can set up your own as well as a dry wet range slider up front for easy access Retention of settings even after switching out tracks etc AWESOME DICTATOR OPTION This awesome option displays how brilliant Sugar Bytes was by borrowing the familiar design from a multi band EQ and turning it on it s head Much like how a particular eq setup will affect any sound the Dictator provides a matrix layout with each column dedicated to each effect whatever it may be at the time With a little practice you can set MULTIPLE points or bands along each column and have complete flexibility in varying the intensity between any sets of bands Once set the main slider much like a pre amp gain on an EQ automates the entire set of 8 effects producing the result of each effect individually jumping anywhere from zero to max anywhere in between all happening simultaneously So really Dictator was a fitting term for this awesome option as you ll revel in watching the sliders jump about on your command Honestly it is WAY too much app for the money and I really hope Sugar Bytes develops this further because the 1 0 release is already looking to be a runaway hit for the iPad TIPS FOR THE DEVS In regards to the awesome introductory pricing promotion please consider stating the end date at least on the last week weekend of the promo as it would help casual browsers not miss out on such a great offer The red slider button offers a snap back for all effects upon using it I felt what would really complement it is either a dual touch function or a similar green slider button that reverts all 8 effects back to last positions exclusively before the red button was pressed As recording is already available thankfully I would really like the ability to upload to Soundcloud within the app Much like other apps Maschine for eg you can tag uploads with a Turnado logo it will bring even more customers in this way Thanks for fixing the pdf manual link it would be great to see the manual within app as the app size is quite reasonable already anway Currently I m not sure whether this is drm format related but I m unable to use ONLY the downloaded iTunes purchased music while any mp3s I uploaded on to my iPad s music library work perfectly Finally although this is a live effects panel I would really appreciate an ability to see a visual song progress bar perhaps with passive marker ability to help make all the mixing even more easier to do on point Of course if you want to employ sequencing at such marks then more power to you Naturally many have already mentioned that landscape is not an option currently so this would obviously be a big one to consider If like me you enjoyed reading a full review let me add a final tip here that the
