I love the full version Its an amazing accounting package The app gives a nice snapshot but has limited input functionality Since Im on the road a lot Im entering expenses Spend money and transfer money buttons on the accounts is a must have Hopefully they will fix this in the next rev           Missing One Thing

The mobile app just keeps getting better and I have no doubt Xero will step their game up in the future                 Killin it

This app has been really well designed to take advantage of the iPad and love the fact I can reconcile accounts and even send client invoices from anywhere Really simple to use                 Can manage biz finances anywhere

While this app is pretty good at what it has available to it right now I feel that its missing a lot of functionality in order to truly operate my business remotely And that is my goal with this app I need to be able to run reports such as a balance sheet and profit and loss statement I also need to be able to refresh my bank feed such as by pulling down on the dashboard I also should be able to print checks to a wireless printer from my iPad or iPhone It would also be useful to be able to add pictures of receipts to transactions that have already been reconciled Please keep developing the app and I will increases my rating Update to review 4215 For new users interested in Xero please know there website is much more robust and developed compared to this app and you can access the website from iOS devices I would recommend Xero to most small business even with the limitations of the app maybe with the exception of business who need high levels of job costing Try it out           Missing a lot of functionality but good at what it does

Every other time I attempt to use this app with TouchID it crashes TouchID until the phone is completely rebooted           Major TouchID bug

Definitely a lot faster when working on the app The new reconcile feature is great although when matching payments received they dont show the dates of the payments recorded so impossible to use Also when you try and view more details of a bank transaction to see the full details you cant scroll across to view the full bank statement line Easy things to fix so stoked it is improving              Much Faster and Love the Reconcile

The iPad version of this app is terrible The mobile team at Xero clearly just scaled up their iPhone version for the iPhone It could be so much better I really hope they are working on a better mobile solution as its a shame in comparison to their services     Clearly not designed for iPad so much potential

This update no longer allows me to log in using my iphone 5 The developers need to fix this     Broken login

The only info you can view in the app is existing invoices However finding them is impossible They load in a list view without invoice numbers or the reference field So having multiple invoices for the same customer is a nightmare There is also no way to search except by opening each invoice individually I dont have time for that     useless

I use this app all day long Xero saves me so much time its nuts The freedom to visit customers and suppliers whilst staying on top of whats happening back at base gives me such peace of mind and Im a tap away from my accountant when needed too Heartily recommend                 Essential companion

App is garbage Only options after I log on I to create a demo organisation or logout No dashboard option though I see it briefly as it logs me off no option to go to existing company Useless     Useless

I really like the simplicity of this app It is designed with the ownermanager in mind that is mobile but needs access to the most important information about their business A dashboard that shows all you bank accounts and credit cards upon logging in that allows you to select an account and reconcile transactions or view activity It also allows you to view overdue invoices which is great for a sales rep walking into a clients office to know if they are behind When it comes to mobile apps they got it right Xero gives you the ability to do what you need to from a phone without the complexity of performing all your accounting functions The full website is for that                 Beautiful Accounting App

The main thing that I use the mobile app for is expense reporting While its quite easy to enter a purchase for reimbursement attach a photo and more the app doesnt do a very basic thing compile these receipts into an expense report Having been an Expensify user for years I loved the ability to compile receipts give the report a custom name and submit to accounting for reimbursement Why cant I do this with Xero        Underdeveloped Expense Reporting

My guess is that Xero is planning a major update to this soon Not a lot of changes this year Its really lacking in features and as others have noted the lack of landscape mode is baffling Basically you can view your accounts and thats about it Hopefully something more worthy of Xero around the corner     Not Very Useful

I dont understand how you can out put a great product like Xero Desktop and WorkFlow Max and then you create the absolutely worst mobile app ever This iPad app literally does nothing It shows you nothing It is basically nothing Too bad there isnt an option for ZERO stars on the App Store     Surprisingly horrific

Cant even launch the app now As soon as I launch it I get an error message and the screen just stays on the splash screen Cant do anything now How could you release something like this     Latest update broke the app

This will be a great mobile companion to the accounting program I use for my small business once they work out the bugs I would highly recommend a print feature for invoices out in the field Right now you can only email invoices but some of my customers require hard copies     Continually crashes

Yeahso this is a really poor representation of the awesome xero service Hope you guys have a fire under you now that quickbooks online just came out with a real ipad app        Hmmm

Cant believe how useless this is Love Xero desktop but this just doesnt hit the mark Cant even search for a paid invoice Nuts     Is this made by the same company

Sometimes when I open the app it freezes I have to turn off screen with side button then dbl click and close out the app then open it again Luckily every time I have to do this it only happens once and not repeatedly Other than that its so much easier to reconcile from app than computer Seems to remember my rules finesaw that someone had a problem with that although some rules dont work on either interface guess I gotta work on those Its kinda tricky setting them up kinda feel like I have to be programmer or something Making bank rules easier would be my current suggestion with the overall service but we are talking apps here so Keep up the good work              Awesome but

Attempting to log in to Xero via TouchID is completely broken and brings the iDevice to a halt The home button freezes up and becomes unresponsive until the device is turned off and on again     TouchID is broken hangs entire iPhone

I had great hopes for the update especially when they said wed be able to create invoices now There are still several HUGE flaws to this app being useful for mobile customers 1 IT STILL DOESNT ROTATE Come on people What business person out there doesnt have a keyboard case I dont have a rotating case most of them dont rotate so I have to PHYSICALLY remove my iPad from my case in order to use a nonrotating app for any length of time Theres really no excuse for a topdrawer service like Xero failing to build that into their iPad app 2 The app still doesnt import the contacts Ive added via the online app even worse it wont let me CREATE any nor will it pull any contacts from my iPad Ideally it would not only access my iPad contacts it would allow me to identify certain contacts as customers and sync them with the online backup 3 Want to make this app TRULY useful Integrate it fully with PayPal Here andor Square Register allow me to create contacts invoices on the go and take payment right there on the spot for invoices or pointofsale purchases via the inventory function 4 Want to make it even more useful Add an inventory function to the mobile app If Square register can set up an inventory for their mobile app maybe you can figure out how to Please thank you        What good are invoices wno contacts

Bland feature set and has a reproducible issue when using Touch ID to login hangs after a couple of uses        Hangs on Touch ID

Love the app with ease of use to code bank trx as well as add receipts for either debit card or expense reimbursements Use full web version for more detailed work                 Awesome app

Works flawlessly but outside of expense tracking there is no highlevel functionality or even reporting Shame given how good Xero is as an accounting platform           Basic at best

As a small business using Xero our iPad is also our retail POS terminal and we use the widely popular heckler windfall stand which is ideal for small business retail The Xero app continues to only work in portrait though and is therefore unusable for us Is it that hard to allow it to rotate and work in landscape     Still no landscape view

I had never heard of Xero but I had used QuickBooks online So when I started a business in Australia I was disappointed that QB online wasnt available Thats when I found Xero Luckily Xero also works in the US because I dont ever want to go back to QB online Xero rocks It is pleasant and intuitive to use and is very web 20 oriented Its made for the web and actually fun to use and quite powerful Of course if you have an iOS device and use Xero youll need the app Way cool to just take a photo of an expense receipt and have it show up within Xero                 Very slick

Decent interface but the buttons dont workits not my phone all my other apps work Has a long way to go        So many bugs

So far I noticed one issue if I happen to have my iPad upsidedown everything seems to rotate fine except for the little status messages that pop up in the middle of the screen              Just started testing it

Hmm I open up the program on my iPad it takes me to a login screen No way to register or anything So I am supposed to login and I dont have an account or any way to make one     Cant use

You really cant do anything with this app other than add expense receipts and view data At a bare minimum you should be able to match transactions including bankinvoices and add and view vendor transactions Hoping the next version includes this        Not enough features for prime time

The only real functionality is to provide a quick snap shot of account balances I use it to reconcile transactions but it doesnt know any of the rules this needs to be fixed 75 of the time I access the app it crashes before login on the fingerprint page I would like to see more functionality reporting but lets tune up the basics first     Works ok to reconcile transactions but crashes with fingerprint recognition daily

Started using Xero about two months ago and absolutely come to love it But this app is an absolute disaster and Xero should be embarrassed to put this out First of all the app is barely useful Only thing one can do is reconcile your bank transactions Other than that the Touch ID hardly ever works and most of the time freezes my iPhone and makes it unresponsive After that I have to press the power switch and turn it back on and then the app responds but asks for username password as opposed to Touch ID This is so disastrous that it is making my Xero experience terrible on mobile and hence I decided to write this review It is not worth the one star Dear Xero folks take a look at the QBO app and weep It is far superior in comparison I really hope you are working on a better and richer app We small business owners would love to do more than just reconcile on the mobile app Please make it a better app This current app is absolutely pathetic     Terrible app

This app is ideal for small business owners such as myself My only complaint is the inability to add a contact That is my lone suggestion for improvement Otherwise awesome              Not perfect yet

Its hard to overstate how anemic this App is I love Xero but this App has almond at no useful features I cant even snap a picture of a receipt for food purchase and categorize in the App It only works for expense report type items like travel meals taxis etc        Stable but featureless App
